I will try to clear some more green games on the course of the next weeks, but I also need to beat more than 150 SNES games this year, so I will still beat the eventual black game on the list.
Has anyone ever reached out to the guy who's doing Absnerdity? Since we've had TMR onboard for the NES effort and SlashTangent for the N64, maybe he'd be willing to join us too.
(EDIT: Had to use a URL shortener to keep the Twitch stream from embedding.)
I did reach out to him actually, on reddit. He expressed interest, but never actually showed up.
Maybe I'll hit him up sometime, probably when channel traffic is low. I reached out to SharpiePlays for the Genesis effort on Sega-16 and he initially seemed open to the idea, but ultimately I think he didn't want to be bothered. OTOH when I reached out to TMR he came here, so that worked out nicely.
Spent nearly three hours today winning the French Open ("Paris Open") in International Tour Tennis. That made me #6 in the world and qualified me for the Masters Cup in the final week of the season, so I've skipped all the weeks in between and will take that on tomorrow in hopes of getting the game's ending and finishing it off! It's only three matches instead of five, which is a pleasant surprise.

Thanks, Bea! Alas, no such luck just yet: I won the Masters Cup, only to get a sad ending screen that said "YOU'LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME". I'd post a screenshot but my SD card slot is currently busy with a project.
So, the question is, what did I fail to do? Here are the possibilities:
- Didn't win the Doubles Masters Cup in Week 51. This is the most likely possibility, albeit one I really don't relish since I've been avoiding doubles matches this whole time (who wants to deal with a CPU partner?).
- Didn't become #1 in the world. This is the best possibility since it's easy to fix: if I just win 2-3 more tournaments before skipping to the end, that should suffice.
- Didn't win all four Grand Slam tournaments (unlikely, since they're not named as such in the game). Also relatively easy to fix.
- Didn't win the game's team competition, the Champions Cup, in addition to the Masters Cup. This is the worst possibility, and would be a really dick move on the game's part, since the manual says nothing about it. If that's the case, I'll have to restart almost from scratch.
I think I'll start out by becoming world #1 and see where things go from there. Fortunately the singles iteration of the Masters Cup only takes about 90 minutes to win, so at least it's not as huge an undertaking as the Grand Slams.
BTW Bea, I listened to Cluba da Esquina while I played today, if that album means anything to you.

Clube da Esquina?
Milton Nascimento, 14 Bis, Toninho Horta, Lô Borges among others, composed during the military dictatorship with severe imposed censorship that got artists to get really creative with their music?
I grabbed every green football game off the shelf and put them in a stack. I don't know when I'll get to them, but I figure I can make at least a few of them fall
Messed around with Sterling Sharpe for a bit. Couldn't really do anything consistently with the Packers so I moved on to the Cowboys. Won the first playoff game in a blowout running a direct snap out of the shotgun every play, and just sitting in nickel or dime, while also pulling back one of the d-lineman. I tried to run a real defense but they kept beating me over the top with 70-80 yard pass TDs
Jeez, Genghis Khan 2 is a long game. I finally beat scenario 1 to unite Mongolia and get to the World Scenario, and now it's basically starting all over with a new game with twice as many territories to conquer.

I got too old and had no successor so the game's over. kill me now

Brutal. How many hours did clearing Scenario 1 take you? No chance you can save scum it by reloading and quickly siring someone?
Comments
Ninja Gaiden is down and I am halfway through Ninja Gaiden Episode II The Dark Sword of Chaos.
By Odin's beard, I HATE this port.
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy is done.
I will practice some Defender 2 to post a half decent score for 8th place at best very early tomorrow morning.

Rival Turf is done. And I am starting on World League Soccer.
No idea what constitutes beating it, but as soon as I figure out, I will post here.
Presumably win a tournament or championship of some sort
Most likely. The question is how many games I will have to win.
I will figure out after I am done doing exhibition matches to understand the physics and how to exploit it and the AI to win on it.

I have been too busy with work this week that I pretty much didn't touch video games at all since Monday.
Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to finish beating the tournament mode of that stupid football game!
The twisted tales of spike mcfang is done. Pretty good game I've had a chance to play until this year
Still don't have that one. I really would like to play it too
I am still trying to break that football game, so I decided to get this one out of the way before going back to the contest tonight.

That is awesome Bronze!
Well done.
Can't wait to see you clear this one.

That is damn good stuff.
The World Match consists of 3 games on the groups phase, the 8ths of finals, 4ths of finals, semi finals and finals.
I am at 4th of finals, at 2 halfs of 3 minutes per game on normal.
World League Soccer is done.
I hope you are happy, Brock.
