Well I'm getting it now because I have to support Bomberman. So Switch+Zelda+Bomberman for me. Wasn't swayed since Mario isn't a launch title, but Bomberman alone would've snagged me.
I got back from Gamestop and got the Switch Preordered and their last Zelda Special Edition. He said they weren't doing the Master Edition in store, that was online only. I'll get one somewhere but happy I at least got the SE.
Reggie was really hyping up how limited that Zelda Master Edition is. Haven't looked up what people are listing their preorders for on eBay, but I can tell it will be crazy.

Now I can't even get the damn Masters Edition. Knowing Nintendo, if there are even any future waves it will be damn near impossible to get. I'm so pissed (stupid first-world problems!). At least I can get a Wii U copy.
I personally think the $299 is a steal for what you're getting hardware wise.
The one thing that concerns me is the Joy-con. It seems like the buttons are in the middle of the controller when it's turned sideways. They say it rests comfortably in your hand, but you have to move your right hand almost all the way to where your left hand is to press the buttons.

Thanks, canceled my Target preorder and went with Amazon instead (saved the $15 rush shipping). Just having that as a backup to Gamestop for the time being.
Amazed that some people are really taken aback by the $299 price tag. What did you expect? $199 for all that's included? How cheap do people think the production of these things are?
Amazon US has it up for preorder. I just preordered, against my better judgement. I only did so because they won't charge me til it ships so if I decide to cancel the preorder I have a month and a half to do so. I'm still extremely disappointed.

Yeah it's still weird to me that Mario isn't technically ushering in the Nintendo's new console.
What is the benefit of pre-ordering a console?
Having the system available on its release. You also get to deal with any bugs from launch systems.
