Subscribers will get to download and play a Nintendo Entertainment System™ (NES) or Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ (Super NES) game (with newly-added online play) for free for a month."
This doesn't necessarily mean that if you have it downloaded locally it just stops working.
I think this model is incredibly stupid. You pick one game a month to play for free until it's pulled at the end? Really it doesn't affect me much since I don't plan on paying for online. But it's a dumb business model. At worst they should release like 10 titles that you can play unlimited within the month, then take them back at the end. Or choose a game you keep permanently or at least as long as you subscribe. I'm probably just going to download Virtual Consoles as they are right now, just pay for them individually.
I'm not bothered by the price, not bothered by the pay-for-online model since I don't use online much anyway, I'm not bothered by the hardware itself - because honestly I like the actual hardware. I'm bothered by the severe lack of games. The launch is absolutely pathetic. There's Zelda, sure, and that looks absolutely stunning, but it's also going to be on Wii U, so I don't consider Zelda alone to be the reason to run out and buy a Switch. If Mario Odyssey was a launch title I'd have almost no problem, since at least it's a Switch exclusive at launch. Arms and 1-2-Switch look like budget/demo releases or games that should've been packed in with the system.
Anyway, I'm done spewing salt at the Switch. I'm disappointed and that's that. Despite being disappointed I really want to like the system, and I truly want it to succeed.
Cannot argue with that. One of them really should have been included as a pack in. PlayStation and Xbox both do solid bundles with their consoles.

Yeah PS+ isn't a bad deal. I don't subscribe to it because I don't play online and I never bother with the free games anyway but I do think it's worth it that way.
Just tried to get a Masters Edition in store at a Gamestop. It was online only. Why did they release it at such a weird time with virtually no warning?
I was going to hold off on a Switch until my birthday but decided to buy into the hype and pulled the trigger on a pre-order when I saw the Masters Edition when I woke up. Now I can't even get the damn Masters Edition. Knowing Nintendo, if there are even any future waves it will be damn near impossible to get. I'm so pissed (stupid first-world problems!). At least I can get a Wii U copy.
For those still looking for the Masters Edition of Zelda Breath of the Wild, keep an eye on Best Buy.com They are listed as one of the retailers on Nintendo's site to get copies, but they are the only retailer not to display the sku yet online.
I'm not sure why...but Best Buy has not made the "masters edition" available yet. Be ready for whenever it hits.
It was available at 1:30. I just snagged a copy. Go go go!

I'm suprised by all the hate on the launch games honestly. PS4 and XBone has extremely sad launch titles when I got mine.

It's true that neither did have bundled games but they were the newest consoles. Nintendo just seems like they are playing catch up and a pack in would be helpful in my opinion.
The launch titles are alright. Plenty of stuff will be coming out within a month or so. How fast do people really beat games anyhow. Once I finish Zelda I will be moving onto I am Setsuna which I saw will be on switch. Pumped for that.
If anyone from Canada are still looking to pre order a console, I just ordered one from BestBuy.ca and I received a confirmation email right away. Be patient, refresh the page, they seem to be adding small quantities to pre order in batch.

I'm disappointed with the launch titles because nothing appeals to me outside of Zelda which, again, is also coming to Wii U, making Switch almost pointless to buy at launch. Being the blind Nintendo fanboy and king of bad decisions that I am, I'm probably going to end up keeping my preorder anyway and being disappointed at launch after I finished Zelda. Getting Zelda in March, and waiting until November for Mario makes 2017 seriously lacking. With almost no 3DS games on the horizon and only Zelda and Mario as the big titles this year... Nintendo is giving us another disappointing year. If you're excited, I'm happy for you. If you guys like the launch titles, wonderful. Go all out and enjoy as much as possible. I want Switch to succeed. I want there to be a lot of support. I want them to try new things. But for me personally the launch lineup is a joke.
Has anyone had Breath of the Wild preordered already for the Wii U? I did it during an E3 offer and am wondering if I will have a hard time exchanging it for the Switch version?

You know, I pretty much agree with you. I will probably end up with 1-2-Switch and maybe Arms just to fill things out a bit. I think my Switch usage is going to end up a lot like my Wii U usage where I go crazy for a few weeks at a time for a particular game and then dead space in between. I guess it's good for me that I will spend most of my free time playing NES games anyway!
I guess preorders for Breath of the Wild are sold out on Amazon? I kinda need it if I'm getting the console!
I picked it up from Best buy which had free release day shipping, or in store pickup if thats our thing.
It's hard to beat the 20% off when using Amazon Prime! I don't have the Best Buy Gamer's Club so buying it on Amazon would be the cheapest for me. I'm confident I'll be able to pre-order it on Amazon soon enough.
I managed to get a pre order from Amazon this morning even though they won't ship it to Brazil.
As I had an US address on my address book on Amazon I decided to pre order one and now I need to figure it out how to get the console to Brazil.
I know that there are a few companies that receive packages and forward them to Brazil but I don't want to use them.
The best solution would be to travel to the US to receive it at the hotel but I don't know if this will be possible.
Another solution wouuld be to ship it to a friend's house and ask him to ship it to Brazil.
Like a lot of people I found the launch line up dissappointing but I love to get consoles as soon as possible even if they won't get a lot of use in the following months.

And damn it just hit me that we'll have these in hand in just 7 weeks. That will be here before we know it!
When they said on Treehouse it was just 49 days, the hype really hit me.
I wonder if he is getting it from here:

It should have been $250 USD / $300 CAD IMO.
Nintendo should just cut to the chase and send us each a check for $1MM.

Cheaper than any console Nintendo has ever released, relative to inflation?

Sure. If they want to compete with Sony and MS then why not?
I can snag a 500 gig Uncharted 4 PS4 for $350, or I can spend $400 and get a switch with no games?
Not much of a choice for this guy.
EDIT:
