I wanted to preorder Bomberman and a Pro controller but no SKUs. I could not find the Pro controller on Amazon either. Anyone know where I can preorder one of those? Classic controllers for Wii were a bit hard to come by after launch so I'd like to find a Pro before launch if I can.

Hopin i'll be able to snag a few! Ordered 3 extra Joycon bundles and 3 grips to go with em just in case! Is anybody choosing the Red & Blue over the Grey? Not really my style so i just went all grey but i could see how the colorful ones would appeal to the Splatoon crowd or youngsters in general.
Well, I got a Zelda from my local EB! They had 4 preorders available. I showed up about 15 minutes before opening, and there was no line outside. So, I went and stood by the door because, why not? It's only 15 minutes. As soon as I setup, another 8 people get out of their vehicles and join me in line haha. Gotta love -30 weather.
Ha! It was 69F when I stood in line at Gamestop this morning. I was #2 in line, wearing shorts and a Tshirt.
Bestbuy.ca has the neon joycon system in stock for preorder. Also they added a bunch of games including Bomberman. Amazon has Bomberman now too. Says March 17th for release
So Bomberman is not launch date. Good game to look forward too in two weeks. And if it's got online multiplay, that would be da BOMB!
Being it is St Patti's day, I'll probably have alcohol in my system so I'll need to pick up the game before I go out partying!
(sorry for me not noticing the Nintendo Switch topic here; I guess I didn't expect/figure it'd be in the Collector's Corner section)
Anyway, I like how Super Mario Odyssey is in a city setting...it's not only a nice change of pace for a Mario game but did we already forget that Mario and Luigi are plumbers from Brooklyn? And the Sonic Mania game looks promising too...for the 7th gen onward it seems like it's been back and forth between eh, hopefully at least above average Sonic games and ones that most definetly do not deserve the Sonic name. Let's hope 'Mania breaks that trend. They did some sort of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe(?) sort of deal but what we all want to know is what Mario Kart 9 and Super Smash Bros Switch will be like.
I personally am in no hurry to get a Switch (not only are finances really tight but I got way too much retro to get caught up on; the top of my wishlist is a Super DSTwo and a 128GB Kingston Micro SD card). Shoot I've been into retro so much (thank you Everdrives...) I've barely scratched the surface of my 3DS/WiiU!!!

Nintendo released dates earlier today and it said Bomberman is a launch title. I'm going by their date over any retailer at this point.
If anyone finds a retailer selling the pro controllers, share! I might just buy one since I realized I have a tiny bit more money then I thought...I really had to count every penny...it'll hurt but pre-orders are pre-orders...you can't over think that shit.
Well a lot of people are going to be disappointed in the Wii u version. There will be a lot of lagging and frame rate issues because of how big the game is that the switch version will not suffer from. So get the switch version. Nintendo should have made Zelda Switch only for a lot of reasons.
But why? Wasnt the game developed to run on the WiiU?
Well yes. But again, the Wii U was not a very powerful console in the first place. Zelda is a massive massive game. If you will remember it was slated to be released first in 2015, then in 2016 for Wii u and they waited until 2017 to perfect the game and also improve the game for the switch. The graphics comparison is night and day. It is so much smoother and high definition on switch. The game is huge and might end up being at least 20 GB of storage capacity and probably more. The Wii U is not going to respond well to such a massive game because it is just a weak console in terms of power. The switch can handle it no problem though.

All reports from New York are that the pro controller is awesome and the best way to play on the switch. It's just a shame that it cost $70. No controller ever made, excluding special edition stuff, is worth that much money.

I get that people want to pay less money for things like accessories, but people are acting like $70 for the pro controller is them asking for twice the price.
Both xbone and ps4 official controllers at $60, so $70 for a new console controller (with some brand new tech inside it) isn't that insane to me.

$60 is stupid for those controllers. Any controller above $30 is stupid lol. Usually why I don't buy accessories for systems and just stick with what they give you...but these joy things look tiny and uncomfortable to play on for any long period of time.

I need to know where to preorder a Pro controller as I think it will be more comfortable than the Joycon for single player docked gaming. Neiter Gamestop had the SKU in their system nor did any online preorders for the Pro controller. Just because it isn't bundled, it was the best way to play games like Bayonetta 2, Smash 4 (except the Game Cube Adapter), and MarioKart on the big screen for Wii-U, and it looks like Nitendo really did cram an extra $20 worth of tech over the Wii-U Pro, what with the haptic feedback (HD Rumble as Nintendo calls it), gyro/acceerometer, Amiibo NFC reader, camera, mic, and whatever else they decided to cram in.
The Hori wired Pro controller also looks like an option but likely doesn't have all the sensors and dodads in it, meaning some games may not work with it. I may get the Hori wired gamepad for two player or in a pinch I forget to charge the Pro controller.
= = = = = = = =
One other thing, the tablet controller has a headphone jack on it. I hope analog stereo output still functions on the dock, as my preferred setup is a low latency PC monitor paired with some Hifi stereo speakers. I hope Nintendo won't be dumb and disable analog audio output with HDMI like they did the first year the Wii-U was out before a firmware update fixed it...
And here's a thought...other then Zelda, Sonic Mania and Disgaea 5...there were no other "special edition" games announced right? I do love my special editions.
Oh and speaking of controllers...anyone hear anything more on the Breath of The Wild skins for the whole system? I think I saw some pictures up on Reddit but no date or any info...I wonder if skins will be the only way to make our Switch's pretty?

A triwing screwdriver and some Krylon. Disassemble, lay the shells face up, and spray away. Someone did some mockups for each generation of hardware. I especially liked the red/gold Famicom themed Joycon. None of this "neon" BS.
But with replacements potentially costing $80 (or $110 with the grip), I'm gonna hold of doing any custom mods. You know a year past launch, Nintendo's gonna do the whole character themes like they did with Wiimotes...

I don't mind custom controllers...at least when done by a professional with high quality auto paint. But I don't think I'm going to do that. I'd rather have them release an official thing. I'd actually rather have them do the whole console...because I mean every Nintendo home console since the N64 has gotten multiple color versions right? It's just...launch is boring old black.
Is it even logical to think an infrared controller could be $30? (I'm literally asking)
I bought a new standard PS3 controller for a friend right before New Year and I'm pretty sure it still cost like $47
PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers are Bluetooth, not IR. Wiimotes were IR, and I believe cheaper than the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers (could be wrong). But $70 to $80 for a controller is ridiculous.
The Switch has potential, but I didn't see anything that made me go "I must get this". Their monthly "free games" is also somewhat of a joke. I'm also skeptical that their online will be on par with paid subscription services like PSN or XBL, but as long as there's a strong 3rd party support, it might be a great console. 32gb of internal memory is a joke, though. My Xbone is nearly full with just 10-15 games, and that's a 500gb drive. Hell, I have 15 gig in rock band songs (and another 20 gb or so with the patches and game install), so anything with a lot of dlc content would fill this consoles memory up quickly.

Watch out pal....Nintendo just released a new console. The fanboys will be seeking to burn your comments to the ground.

I'll post all of my concerns about that after this sentence

Of all the things that Nitendo did wrong with the switch the 32 gig of storage is the biggest mistake IMO.
Storage is so cheap there isn't any reason that this thing doesn't have 500 gig - 1tb of storage. If they want to push an online service that is worth paying for (something else I doubt they can do given the shit show that is the Wii U online service) where you download games you are going to need a lot more than 32 gig of storage.
On my xbone I had to put a 3 tb expansion drive on it to handle my digital game library. Hopefully the switch will allow for external HDD's.
XB1 controllers aren't recharable and they Start at $60 and go to over $100. The Switch had expandable SD storage up to 128 gb. With the carts were less likely to see entire games stored on the console like we do w XB and PS. But ya know what do I know. I only paid a measly $600 at launch for a PS3

Got mine at Best Buy! What are the odds that Zelda for Wii U gets cancelled?
Very low. It was officially annouced, but i guess you never know.
Nope. Nintendo announced that Wii U version is also out on 3/3. Hopefully the date I can wrap up my Wii U collection.

All reports from New York are that the pro controller is awesome and the best way to play on the switch. It's just a shame that it cost $70. No controller ever made, excluding special edition stuff, is worth that much money.

I bought a new standard PS3 controller for a friend right before New Year and I'm pretty sure it still cost like $47
Is it even logical to think an infrared controller could be $30? (I'm literally asking)
