hello i'm new to the forum
hello nintendo age. iv been collecting over the years. i do have a taste for the famicom box art & earlier releases.
i'm turned off by the posts of wii or wii u or ds games. like why bother. who cares. obviously they will all grade higher. its all about the nes/snes baby!
but in regards to being a gamer. i'v spent my entire life gaming. i have talent in theese hands i think i could make it to level 9? on battletoads. it started on the atari 2600 when i'd sit an play defender all day. id rack up so many lifes. id keep trying to die in game. lol. loved it. the first time i played the nes. friends of the family brought the system over. 400$ was alot in the 80's, for a toy. i was blown away by the fact the screen names were mario & luigi. the fellow that brought the system over his name was john. but his fathers name was luigi an his brother mario. i asked how they inputted their names ;P then it was explained to me it was pure coinicidence. i'v played 100's off nes games as a kid. to this day games are missing that magic. they just create a dull 3d world on 90% of all games now. no fun.
after the nes it was sms,turbo,snes, an there on.
i remember staring at the carts which seemed like forever when i'd bring a cart to school to trade. playing eye spy games with my friend on the super long bus ride home. dreaming of playing the game as soon as i arrived
yup im obsessed ;P
to this day im still unimpressed with nintendo to not make any of its virtual console games with no online capabality. like its 30 years an still no mario 3 network play....
they need to change that on the switch. though i doubt it....
