I have the 8525, definitely wouldn't say its better than the iPhone. The screen alone puts the iPhone pretty far above anything else commonly available, and its really thin. Fast good browser instead of IE (crap) or Opera (acceptable), really good integration between apps, doesnt crash/slow like Windows Mobile, etc etc etc. That said the lack of physical keyboard, slingbox, and bluetooth tethering means I won't buy this iPhone. Even though it would be cheaper because of the data plan pricing....

Which is why I think the 8525 is a better phone. You also forgot to add HSDPA to the list.
In this area (SF bay area) the Cingular/ATT 3G is overrated, so I don't consider it important. The coverage is still pretty spotty unless you are in downtown SF. Wifi is generally easy to find, hopefully the google netin Mountain View spreads! Far faster and doesn't count against minutes if you don't have unlimited plan I will have to see if the speed of Safari beats out the speed of the 3G net...
im one of the type of guys that only needs a cell phone to make and recieve calls and messages...lol so nope i hane no intrest in all this new phome stuff they have come out with...

After they work the kinks out of that and have it run full speed, that will totally entice me to fork out the $400 to get one.
Why not just get a Cingular 8525 now? It's a much better phone, and NES games work great on it.
iPhone hardware + Newton OS would be great

Because I'm a graphic designer and I'm sort of partial to Apple products. I work on a mac, etc.
