Well let's see. To get that score I got to the ultimate race with 99 seconds left and beat it in 25 seconds. If I could figure out how to beat it four seconds faster then I'd get a much higher score. I doubt that it's going to happen, but who knows.
170 is a top 8 lock. It would be cool to see someone hit 180k.

I can't imagine playing this with a keyboard. You need a good old NES pad for this one, where your thumb can easily slide around the small directional buttons and hit diagonals.

Everyone has games they are great at and games they suck at so you make concessions accordingly.
No way in hell I'm hitting 170k this week and therefore have a chance at being competitive but that's okay. I beat the game and that's fine with me. There are other games I'm a lot better at and I'll focus on those.

That guy is way better then me, but basically it comes down to good wands and speed. Yea, this is one of the more competitive weeks I've played. Top 8 right now is so tight and we still have like 3 days to go...

The main thing is being able to reach the ultimate race and have 99 seconds for that stage and beat it in 25 seconds or less. The quicker you can beat the last stage and the more seconds remaining at the end, the more your score shoots way up. You also need the extra points from jumping off track in the first stage. And lose few or no marbles. Basically be quick and don't die.

I wasn't doing the jump on the first stage. Thanks - this helped a lot. Only got one wand, so a second would have put me close to the 170 champion mark.

Got 174 finally. I'm not sure 175 is doable for me. I feel like I'm already cutting razor thin times pretty close to perfection. I know there is a few seconds to be had here and there though.
