  • Incredible game by the way. My favorite of the series.
  • Yup, was made for arcade and the famicom, I really want to get the fami vers someday, looks really awsome!
  • Awesome I need to check it out. Are there any NES repros out there?
  • Not sure, but if i see a loose famicom  cart for sale anywhere I'll let you know

no, it uses a weird mapper so it cant be reproduced.
  • Bregalad over at nesdev made a patch to make it work on MMC3 a while back. http://nesdev.parodius.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=3801&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=gradius&start=27

Also I have 4 or 5 FC carts of this game, if someone wants one, $5 shipped (in US)

EDIT: I guess I should have read farther, I guess he was unable to get the patch working 100% and gave up on it image
  • Bummer that it has yet to be reproduced. Bootgod I'll send you a pm about picking up one of your FC carts. image
  • Wow! 5 $ shipped is an insanely good deal for the famicom cart of this game. Strap on you're 31 in 1 adaptor and you're good to go. Anyone who doesn't have it should snatch one right up!
  • I clicked through that link you provided and saw the screenshots of all the Gradius games they had, NES_Dude, great link. Fun to see the comparisons.

It's sad how Gradius III for the SNES is essentially the same game design as Gradius II FC though...but hey it's still my favorite.
  • Thanks I just stumbled upon it today actually. I was looking up Gradius because I just bought/downloaded Gradius ReBirth on WiiWare. So far its a very challenging but cool game. It looks and feels like a SNES game.
