Southern retro gamer

Seriously, I think I found the perfect NES fan paradise. Add me to the list of fans who know NES is the best thing that ever happened to video games by a longshot.

I hail from Huntsville, Alabama, where according to meetup there are over 200 local quietly aspiring game developers (retro and modern) who want to break into that field on their own terms. I was born and raised in the South all my life. Virginia is what I consider pretty "North", as far as where I've been is concerned.

As for my background, I am a Web forum regular, writer, keyboard player, and aspiring game developer. I have lots of hobbies and interests related to those things.

NES Homebrewing contest results and links to NESdev brought me here.

The only thing about retro games that's "dead" is that retail stores don't carry them like they used to. Thank goodness for the internet and local shops to keep retro game greatness alive and thriving.

Getting to be part of the retro golden age at only 3 years old was a true privilege. I hope- from some of my work- to pass that along to the next generations, so they can get a good glimpse of just how golden those years were!
