Hey everyone, just looking for some retro game podcasts to listen to on my long drive to work. I already know about Pats, but what are some other good ones? Thanks!
Factory Sealed is a great show about retro games with a huge backlog. Myself and a buddy also put out a "just for fun" podcast called SWFL Gamers Podcast; talking more about current video game news and various retro stuffs.
Retro Game Squad is my favorite. Sadly they're not putting out podcasts on a regular basis anymore. They put them out every month for about 4 years. Alex is the hardcore retro gamer that does most of the talking and controls the show. Jeff is a younger guy and most of the games they play are new to him, but he's a funny dude and will keep you laughing. 3rd guy I can't remember his name but he doesn't say a lot but chimes in here and there. They do each podcast buy theme: Castlevania games, Racing games, Wild West, Aquatics etc... and here and there they do episodes for systems like Master System, 32X, Saturn where they cover the best games of the system as well as spend time marveling over the machine. Those tend to run 2-4 hours. Great show with around 45 episodes. OP the episodes probably average 2 hours. Tuna sandwich.
Yeah the Collector's Quest Podcast is great, love that Johnny Lucci guy.
Just to add some actual recommendations to the thread, I loved NARC and especially Arcade Outsiders, both unfortunately dead podcasts now. Dollar Dorks is fun too, I just started that.
Can anyone recommend any game podcasts with high production values? (professional sounding audio/editing, hosts with broadcasting chops, informative and entertaining content)
like Radiolab, but for video games?
The Retroist kind of scratches this itch (when they do a videogame episode), but I'd like some more options.

The only retro podcast I listen to. Maybe the Age forums needs a podcast?...

That would be cool. If a couple members were down to run it and have a member on each week as a guest.
Also check out diddles mcbean's podcast, hes a member here

Yeah I was going to chime with with Diddle's cast: Polykill

He's also done a few episodes where he's interviewed other NA members/collectors.

Always laugh at their stuff. I've had a really really bad past few months, and the podcast unfailingly brings my spirits up.
The podcast is on Spotify now, thankfully. I've been relistening to the older episodes on my way to University. Makes my mornings.
