One thing that has been asked multiple times by multiple people with no real answer from anyone... Who's been silent thus far? There are a lot of us, and some will be more active than others.
One plan that was proposed a few times was to all of us lynch a quiet person. Has anyone been quiet enough to get THAT vote? A quiet person is, by the accounts I've read so far, either a wolf, or not a very helpful town. Would it make more sense to off one of them?
That was the prevailing theory in earlier rounds. Nowadays, I feel like a lot of power roles stay quieter so they can stay out of the limelight. The wolves may target the more vocal players in order to kill off discussion.
I mean, like bronty said we should probably kill him. Indy's are too risky.
And bizarre behavior or not, the odds are still pretty good Pimp is town. A bert lynch has less risk
The exception is if Bert gives us a believable victory condition that that can be leveraged against the wolves.
Hey my brother in arms, i have a theory on bert and which pokemon he is, i'm hoping this cryptic message makes you think along the same path as me and that your plan might actually be sound if it goes the way you are hoping it does. read this and think about what i have said and let me know if you one get owhat i'm saying or not
I say we end Bert. Even if he is telling the truth and is Indy, we won't be losing a townie. Not to mention that we have nothing else to go on. Most indys in past games needed to be the last one alive. It's better than nothing.
Berts claim is interesting. He was one vote away and no one pulled the trigger. Now a Indy claim is always a death sentence sooner or later. But that explosion gif seems like a passive aggressive way of saying dont kill me or something bad will happen to you

Do we want to kill him or do we want to potentially let the wolves take him out.
At this point, the wolves have plenty to choose from and likely won't take the risk right now, do we think leaving him in the game could help us at a later point?
you all have all the info you need to make a decision, not just from me but from others speculation.
hope you make the right choice.
Yes! Okay now that's what I'm talking about. I give thee pause.
I am pokemon illiterate. But this makes me think of those bomb crag bad guys in Dragon Quest that blow themselves up to hurt the party seriously or sacrifice themselves to revive their dead allies. Anywho... lots to consider.
Berts claim is interesting. He was one vote away and no one pulled the trigger. Now a Indy claim is always a death sentence sooner or later. But that explosion gif seems like a passive aggressive way of saying dont kill me or something bad will happen to you
My fear is that whoever casts the killing lynch vote or the whatever wolf kills him gets killed too. But maybe its a bluff, but given his newness to the game, I doubt it represents a diabolic bluff. That's something you get a couple of games in I would argue. He must be referencing a power he has. I'm also not saying he's definitely indy, he could be a town/pokemon with a defensive skill.
Anyway I had a theory of why I thought he was wolf. And it goes like this. Bert is super chatty on NA in general. No difference here when he starts up with our werewolf game. Then he gets into hot water as he starts attraching strong suspicion. I was thinking that his fellow wolves were telling him to quiet down, not just here but in general on the boards, hence the sudden "where did Bert go?" vibe. He tried to stay quiet but couldn't help posting once in a while in a thread here and there across NA. Were Bert genuinely busy why post in the dreamcast/n64 collector's corner thread and not defend himself here? My feeling is that he was a newbie wolf getting coached by experienced players/wolf teammates. That's why I was about to cast the killing vote. The exploding gif was an effective defense. In fact maybe that explosion gif is just more fellow wolf advice. In any event it has worked on me temporarily and others (he lost 2 votes since). I may still change my vote, but now he's not a surefire lynch.
So Im not convinced he's an indy (possibility remains). He just posted the gif right? The indy theory is what others are saying right?
I actually had that exact same thought (other wolves telling bert to knock it off)
It's also possible that if he was a wolf the other experienced guys could of coached him up on a last-ditch defense
But would anyone willingly claim independent as a defense? Other than me of course. We've seen how that always ends.
you're an experienced player right? if you and I were wolves, would you think me claiming indy was a good defense?
Probably not. But if you end up being a wolf then we know at least 1 of the wolves played in the Turtles round.
You haven't told us your victory condition which means you're holding back still. Must be a gap in your defense, or something you don't want town and/or the wolves to know.

there's plenty of time for more information to come out if you all allow it. We'll see what happens, but there's more than enough to go off of already.

So weird idea since it seems most people don't believe bert is with us, options seem to be indy, indy with power, or wolf based off what I'm reading. I don't think anyone today wants to gamble on if berts gif of an explosion is an idol threat or real, so doubt anyone is going to step forward to be the vote that puts him down today. So how about this as a suggestion we use bert to further our cause. If we think bert isn't with us lets use that to are advantage since he doesn't want to give us more. We have roles that will eventually nab us a wolf, when that happens why don't we force the wolf to be the final vote to take bert out. If he's just an indy we have taken the indy out and know to vote the wolf the next day. If he has the explosion skill we get the wolf to vote out bert and hopefully that takes the wolf out with him effectively removing our indy and wolf for the day. Three he could be a wolf and we vote out wolfs back to back days.
Cons to this plan. Bert may have the power to blow up at night on his own, the terrorist role where you kill yourself and another person, effectively allowing him to choose who he takes out, he also may be lying about his power and not have one or have an even better power that he wants to have the chance to use tonight, three he has a win condition he needs to hit and gets it before we force a wolf to vote for him or vote him out ourselves, or he is somehow town and is vt and just trying to be a sacrificial lamb so the wolfs might attack him during the night sparring a role player (least likely in my opinion.)
Any other thoughts to this plan I'm missing out on.

My only thought being that the wolves will choose to not vote for fear of being exploded.
Right now there is less risk in killing bert. He is not town like he claimed and is either another threat or a wildcard liablity or a lying wolf. We don't know what his goal is, even if he says it may just be another lie. We can't trust him.
If people are afraid to drop the hammer, I don't mind. Send my purple heart to my beloved.
Ok, well this is what wasg was cryptically telling me. No reason town shouldn't know:

With one final action Mutagen Man charges Brock Landers, dumping mutagen all over him. The ooze burns away the disguise revealing Brock’s true identity.
Raphael: You stupid mother fuckers, don’t you know what happens when mutagen hits a mutant. I’m undergoing my next mutation! Grahahaha!
So two possiblities right now.
1 - Bert is a wolf, and the other wolves, one of whom played the turtles round, coached up this story as a last ditch defense.
2 - Bert is indeed another Mutagen Man, possibly revised in some way, such as being Indy. Yet despite having such a powerful deterrant, he waits until the last possible second to even cryptically hint that he has such a role, despite the fact that a single vote at any time would of killed him off before he could say anything.

if he's an Indy than his Pokemon is probably either Voltorb or an electrode.

Please pm me and put BOMB: Player Name in the subject line. Failure to select a player each night will result in you exploding and dying. You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.
