^^ Day 1 in Werewolf Final Fantasy, lest anyone get confused
Here's another thought; maybe people think it's too risky to trust fox. What about behemos? He might even have a stronger case for town. If fox was a wolf, he could of called out a townie as townie, specifically to gain trust. But he would never call out a wolf as a town. If there is one constant in these games, its that the wolves do everything in their power to avoid associating with one another in any way in this thread.

Talk to me
Since the last werewolf game on here I got into playing a game called Town of Salem that's basically a werewolf game shortened into an hour or so. One of the more common indy roles was Jester, and if you ever saw anyone trying to draw attention to themselves or trying to die purposefully, anyone else who's played more than a few times would always label that person a Jester. Seeing a new person with (possibly) this unprecedented role in werewolf made me assume he would have made this mistake not knowing how obvious it is if it were true, but obviously none of this was true.
Also something I want to note to everyone, in the last day I'd pointed out that my role (Metapod) was a noted VT because of how weak it was. Dra600n conformed his role was similar (which I obviously can't confirm for you), and Bert's role (Eevee) was noted on it's cuteness and could only use sand attack. This hadnt been done in the past games, and in doing this Id hoped to prove Im town. What I'm proposing is that this is enough evidence to prove that I'm a townie that at least some of you can trust. Someone was saying that they thought putting their trust in someone was a shot in the dark and could lead to trusting a wolf, and I'm think this is the least risky choice for now in trusting a townie.
Bert did a interesting scare tactic ill give him that.
Wasg and dragoon what are your thoughts?
I'm assuming you are asking about berts scare tactic, I'll say this after big brother and now this story bert is definitely a crafty guy and knows some strategy, he had me going on the whole voltorb time bomb thing and I was trying to get some strategy on how to use that to our advantage, obviously my vt thought on him which i deemed less likely was incorrect.
I spent the last two days going over this thread and the more I read throught it the more convinced I become that Brock is a wolf, and most likely anyone trying to aid him could be to.
The town needs to vote him out.
The leader plan is a terrible idea. Especially if we were to pick anyone Brock recommends.
Hey guys I have an idea lets elect a wolf for town lead and see how the game plays out.
I tried to bring attention to Brock day one. But everyone was hung up on voting out me or Bert and the votes were to strong for the town to change direction at that time. So nowis our chance.
Reread the last events of day 1. Fox unvoted so someone else could vote for Bert and then he could revote Bert and be the killing vote and take the possible sacrifice play. I was going to be the penultimate vote so fox could be the last vote but others voted in the interim and threw all that out the window.
Brock I'm not keen on the leader role. It places too much power in a person (whoever is picked) that at this point can't be 100% confirmed as town. Maybe later down the road after roles come out or powers are used to clear people.
So. Fox is all about a day 1 lynch, then removed himself before Bert got lynched.
**VOTE: Fox
Are you saying he removed his vote because he knew Bert was not a wolf, and removed his vote to avoid scrutiny? That seems to be logical. **VOTE: Fox
That's part of it.

So... what's the deal, Fox? Love day 1 kills, but don't want to actually vote? Want to let the liability fall on someone else to take attention off yourself and make you look like you have the towns interest at heart? Instead, he likes to cause misdirection and fingerpointing on baseless things, start up a lynch, then backs off.
Hell, he started on me on Day 1, and when I called him out, he left it alone. He's hiding something, and I'd put my game-life on the line that he's not town.
Brock, I think I understand where you're coming from with the whole experimental thing. Catch the wolves off guard as it were. One thing we know for certain though, is that the wolves are right here with us, either reading this thread and keeping quiet about it, or even chatting right along with us, suggesting strategies and trying to get us to not trust each other.
I am, at this time, suspicious of everyone. I see no reason at all to trust anybody. I don't trust fox enough to put in charge. I don't trust you enough to trust anyone you say I should trust. Hell, I'm still thinking you're a wolf myself, and the whole "let's put a leader position out there day 2, here's my candidate" thing isn't helping.
If you're going to suggest we have a leader, I think it's suspicious of you to jump straight to "let's have this person I've been backing the entire game be the leader".
Would it not make more sense for us to organize a vote?
Step 1: Do we want a leader? Vote on that. Yes or no.
Step 2: who? Nominate two people each. Give reasons.
Step 3: when we have a person, do they even accept the risk?
Frankly, if I were fox, I'd not be so appreciative of you drawing so much attention to me out of the blue. Lots assume the two of you are NOT in cahoots. Let's assume the very best and the only interaction you've had in regards to this game has been in this thread. Aside from an obvious mutual respect, Ive seen nothing from Fox that says they want to lead the town. In fact I've seen Fox attempt to jump on a proverbial grenade.
So, preamble aside, let's do this the Democratic way! Make town great again! I will omit my own vote for now, so as to not sway any votes.
Someone to corral town, possibly make a decision on who to lynch once we have several candidates near the end of the current day. Basically, have town do the exact opposite of what happened last game.
Last game nobody wanted to listen to me about voting Red out - which would've most likely won us the game

I like a lot of what you're saying, and agree with a lot of it.
I don't think town needs a leader, at least not yet. We choose a leader, 1 of 4 things happen:
1. The wolves kill that person.
2. A wolf/indie is chosen
3. The night roles waste their resources keeping our "leader" alive, making others an easy target
4. The person chosen just sucks at reading the clues and signs
I'm sure there are more things that can happen, but those are the first major ones I thought of.
I don't think Brock is a wolf. I've played many of rounds with him that even when he was indie, he was more for a town win than a wolf win. He doesn't seem to be off point in any odd way.
Fox "jumping on the grenade" was already pretty late in the game day, there was almost a zero chance people would switch votes to him, especially after casting votes on 2 people already, adding a third just causes more confusion and uncertainty about your choices. This is exactly what happened last round when I wanted to vote Red off. So much confusion caused the town to vote otherwise, and we ended up losing that game day. Same with Brock putting himself in the line of fire as well - almost a zero chance.
Now, just because I think Brock is town, that doesn't mean my thoughts are gospel, and I update my lists as new info is discovered.
Here's my current thoughts on who's who:
Town:
- dra600n (mainly because my role card says so)
- NESFanatic
- Brock
- Wasg
Uncertain, and have no bias in either direction:
- Behemos
- MBC
- Gloves
- alakhira
- rdools
Uncertain, but leaning wolf:
- Alekx
Who I suspect is wolf:
- Fox
The rest pretty much falls in the uncertain, no bias group, mainly because they either haven't spoken much since the round started, or I'm not paying well enough attention this round.
I do know one other person in here has some information about last night that I suspect is town, but I'm still trying to figure some things out.
So. Fox is all about a day 1 lynch, then removed himself before Bert got lynched.

I was planning to compile info later today after I've woken up. If someone else wants to do so, my plan was to gather up everything we KNOW.
e.g.:
GoldeneyeGamer has had a mysterious new Pokemon user say his name and "Caterpie"
Bert was vanilla town
Generic was town w/ role - ditto, can copy night roles
etc. etc.
Feel free to add to this list.
VT have weak corresponding pokemon, Bert was a notably cute Eevee who only used sand attack, I'm a Metapod that's notably good for nothing. If pokemon posts a similar post to his earlier one this can be helpful to keep in mind.

I'm not sure that we can assume this info to be correct until we have more data, but it's certainly logical. IMO we should wait until we have more info.
Frankly, I recall playing Pokemon Red, and Metapod was the first big pain in the ass to kill when I got to Viridian Forest. Little bastards use Harden all day. In the context of a game of Werewolf, who knows - maybe you have a role after all, like maybe your Harden ability makes it so that the wolves have to attack you twice to kill you?
I don't think we can assume that VT are weak pokemon as a rule, and we also shouldn't assume that weak pokemon are useless.

I can verify that vts are generally weak Pokemon, I would reveal mine, but is there a rule that says I cant?

VT have weak corresponding pokemon
100% not true.
But you'd confirmed this earlier in the game?
When/if I'm lynched or taken out by a wolf, you'll see that's not the case. I'm a named Pokemon (and apparently one of the strongest), but I'm legit nothing more than a VT.
Here's the thing though, back to the whole "I'm not trusting anyone" thing - it's so SO easy for anyone to come in and say "I can confirm that VT are usually weak pokemon".
And follow it with "I'm a Weedle".
We can't assume that you're telling the truth, and frankly IMO anyone who's gone out of there way to make it apparent that they are NOT a wolf, is bound for greater scrutiny. Saying you're not a wolf does nothing good for the town, and is just fluff, unless you can back it up.

So it sounds like one of two things are happening here. Brock and fox are both wolves working together to control the town during the day and its not working out for them. Or Brock has set fox up. Asking him to be the killing vote and take the town lead.
I think there is potential they could both be wolves, but I put way to much time into rereading through over 600 posts twice that Im pretty confident that this is whats happening.

GoldeneyeGamer has had a mysterious new Pokemon user say his name and "Caterpie"
Bert was vanilla town
Generic was town w/ role - ditto, can copy night roles
etc. etc.
Feel free to add to this list.
I was planning to compile info later today after I've woken up. If someone else wants to do so, my plan was to gather up everything we KNOW.

VT have weak corresponding pokemon, Bert was a notably cute Eevee who only used sand attack, I'm a Metapod that's notably good for nothing. If pokemon posts a similar post to his earlier one this can be helpful to keep in mind.

VT have weak corresponding pokemon
100% not true.

But you'd confirmed this earlier in the game?

I can verify that vts are generally weak Pokemon, I would reveal mine, but is there a rule that says I cant?

I asked this to the GM before pokemon posted Caterpie, he said you can name the pokemon of you want.

ok mine is Psyduck.

When/if I'm lynched or taken out by a wolf, you'll see that's not the case. I'm a named Pokemon (and apparently one of the strongest), but I'm legit nothing more than a VT.
Vote: Fox
