lol, i was sorta directing that at Fleck but we're definitely getting a divorce too! I've Had IT!!!!
LOL! I hear ya, man. I'm disappointed in myself! I think I'm going to finish Battle Chasers, then go back to Xeno. I have the DLC, but don't see myself doing New Game+. Torna will be tough enough for me. I still also have to finish what I started with Owlboy, the Zelda DLC, on and on... AND I've got every good game coming up preordered. No idea when I will have the time for this stuff. Life at 40 is hard, yo! Give a brother a break. Lol!
It could be worse. You could also be trying to refresh yourself on/complete 50 crappy SNES games every couple months, on top of the current gen games you actually want to play. Oh, and testing out the games people pick for the contest.

I'll sleep when I'm dead
Play those crappy SNES games faster so you can get to the good ones already lol
So what indie games for Switch are must haves as far as playing them and buying them physically? Which ones are worth the higher price tag for the game on cartridge? I know about the bigger titles but as far as smaller indie stuff goes I have... Axiom Verge, Battle Chasers, Binding of Isaac, Cave Story, End is Nigh, Ittle Dew 2, Lumo, Owlboy, Poi, Tiny Barbarian.
I just put 3 more games on preorder for the 20% off on amazon. I've never been happy about preorders and refused the up until this generation as it's just too tempting with prime. I've got around a half dozen games coming through the year I've got queued up to get.

Sounds like you've got the best of them. I have been enjoying Thimbleweed Park, Count Lucanor, and Retro City Rampage as well. My Switch copy is the first time I've played RCR. You may already have it for a different system.

I think all Nicalis titles will fall into that catergory, but I'll add Steamworld Dig 2. I just picked it up at GS used and it was still complete with the poster. Very happy since it was $20 and just came out 3 weeks ago, but after i traded in a Wii Sports and a copy of New SMB DS that looked like a dog chewed on it, I got the game and still had $6 in credit left over.

I looked at the rest of the choices and nothing else really grabbed me except Shantae, which I may or may not get because of the extras it comes with, but I played it on Wii U already, and though I liked it a lot, I don't see myself playing it again. Thimbleweed Park was one that looked interesting but I have to look into it. I was just curious if there was one or a few that people thought were awesome that they'd recommend to everyone. I know I'd definitely recommend Axiom Verge and Owlboy to everyone. I'd say the same for End is Nigh and Isaac but damn those games are hard as hell.

Golf Story. It's the only eShop game that I've gone crazy over. It's 14-19 hours of gameplay and it is fantastic. I enjoyed it so much I'll be grabbing the physical release as well once LRG drops it.

Oh yeah I played it too, great game. I will probably get the physical release for it as well. I don't even typically like golf games.
Kotaku gave it a not so glowing review, but the reviewer said he played everyone's chapter 1, then everyone's chapter 2, and so on. The other more positive reviews seemed to have mostly played one characters entire storyline before moving on to the next, so that might have a big effect on your enjoyment. I'm just really surprised none of the stories interconnect. If none of the characters stories connect, what's the point of having them all in the same party? Why not just have 8 different stories with 8 different parties?
I will say that the reviews do seem to say its a very good game, but not the second coming of Final Fantasy VI or anything. So people could be victims of their own hype
I was about to say the same. Higher than Xenoblade 2!
Well then I can't trust those people anyway.
You can't trust the media in general. There have been plenty of media darling games that I did not like, Uncharted, Last Of Us, any Halo and whatnot. The games I enjoy usually have mixed review from games media.

Anyone know if the owl boy limited edition was actually available for preorder today? I saw some discussion in this thread about it being available on play asia, but that was back in May.

It was available for preorder briefly on Amazon and Best Buy (and maybe Gamestop). The release date got pushed back to August though. I don't know if they went up for sale again since then, but I'm pretty sure I got mine reserved from Best Buy back in May.

I'm not really a fan of RPGs, JRPGs, anime art style, games with huge open worlds, or games with long intricate stories.
I prefer my gaming in 15 minute increments.
