For anyone on the fence about Dead Cells, I would highly recommend it! I'm not super far in yet, but I've played a bit of the game so far on Steam, and I am liking it quite a bit so far. It has a very colorful and attractive art-style, and the game-play is smooth and quick, lots of good action.
I'm considering getting the physical version on switch also
Also, I recently got the Crash trilogy and it is awesome. It's a great collection and if you enjoyed the Crash series at all, you're sure to enjoy it. It has been a great blast from the past going back and playing them over again. I have been trying to master the levels in Crash 1, and it is a lot harder than I remember! Great fun.
I'm not even that upset about the Mega Man stuff. It's actually kind of convenient having it that way. I was jumping back and forth between Legacy 1 and 2 playing games without having to go change the game. Eh. I was going to buy the 2nd one from Japan but I don't think I really care anymore.
Code of Princess is okay in small bursts. It definitely starts to wear on me if I do more than 2 or 3 missions at a time.
Darkest Dungeon I think I'm going to delete my save so I can redo the tutorial. I picked it up again and didn't remember how to do basic actions. Or maybe I should get around to trying Owlboy.
Yeah, it's a steep learning curve on everything. I'm determined to figure it out, though. Maybe I'll just hold off on playing it again until the weekend so I can actually just sit with it for a long stretch.

I respectfully disagree. I felt the Crash remake was garbage. I've played the originals many times and I can still 100% them in my sleep. The controls in the remake are extremely sloppy and failed to retain the feel of the originals. I only recommend this game for people who DIDN'T play the originals because they won't know any better about the garbage controls. Without a doubt the most disappointing game I've played in the past 10 years. The graphics looked great, but good looking graphics are meaningless if the control or gameplay is terrible.
Ok, fair enough. Interesting we had such different reactions.
To be honest, I haven't actually played the PS1 versions in a loooooong time. Perhaps if I went back now and compared, I'd see what you are talking about. There is definitely a bit of the 'nostalgic' factor that hit me when I booted up the switch version, and I just like the convenience of having them all right there.
I haven't really had any major issues with the controls - I'm using the Pro Controller mostly and so far it seems to be working out ok.
I think for me, just playing through them again is really fun, and it has been a long time, so I've had a positive experience so far.

Will agree that the controls are worse they said they wantes all of em to play like crash 3, but i find that as just an excuse. If they wanted it to play like crash 3 how did crash 3 play so much worse. I mean they somehow made the bike stages worse.
I just assumed my skills have declined over time. Maybe that's why I think it's so much harder than I remember, hahah!
Course, I also am usually pretty casual with things, so while I'm trying to master them, I'm not super strict with myself about that or how well I do, so maybe the super-fine controls aren't as much of an issue for me as maybe some others.
I think I'm going to now bust out my PS1 copies to see the difference!
There were parts of the control scheme I was a little skeptical about with the 1st game that I am leaving last.
Specifically the jumping, when I was trying to do "box jumps" over death pits, I don't have enough memory of that game to come to a conclusion if it was changed a lot but I was having a little bit of trouble with it that I felt I shouldn't have been.

Ok cool. I was seeing conflicting dates.
Code of Princess kinda sucks
The 3DS reviews scared me off long ago
Excited about Dead Cells though. Sounds like a must-buy
Also, goddamn you Capcom USA
I don't usually go for imports, but I'm gonna be mighty tempted

Just picked up a used copy of Hyrule Warriors finally. I am finding it hard to stop buying games for this system lol
EB has Darkest Dungeon used for $34 CAD. I also have a 15% off coupon on top of that. Probably worth it for that price?

I'd buy that for sure.

I never liked the Crash games in the first place. There I said it.
Get out.
