Sadly I've been waiting to play Rime on Switch and seeing footage of the broken framerate just killed any enthusiasm for it and cancelled my preorder as well. I will go play it on another platform eventually. I am not a stickler for graphics or lower framerate. I could deal with a consistent 20 FPS even but what I saw in videos of Rime on Switch is borderline broken. I don't know how they thought it was okay to release a game in that state.
That's my attitude. Since I like to own and not lease games on a server I'll buy it on GoG next time there's a big sale on it as I don't feel after this stunt they deserve full price at $30 either. What they did was inexcusable. Had the delay time went into fixing it fine, but to take the time to make it grossly worse is insulting.
Oof, yeah that's not a little stutter here and there, that's a near-crash chug-along. Too bad, I was looking forward to the Switch version. Ah well, this week is loaded with other good games to pick up, so I'll just play them instead.

YES! I hate the big white banner on the box, that alone almost makes me not want the physical version. They should've put it on the top or bottom of the box in a small thin banner, not 1/3 of the box.
On another note I picked up Ittle Dew 2+, a game I wasn't going to get but saw gameplay and it looked fun. It's very easy so far, it plays exactly like a kiddie version of Zelda, but so far I'm enjoying it. Plus with the Best Buy Gamer Club it only cost me $24. Can't beat that for a new game!

Yes! Usually box art doesn't bother me, but those giant ugly banners are obnoxious It should either be on the back of the box or much smaller on the front.
A bit strange, but at least they can't say they didn't warn people. I can remember enough people complaining over the years who don't read the fine print on the back about memory card sizes in past systems. This basically puts responsibility with no right to moan about it right in plain sight. By not having it stand out like that it could in some games get drowned out by the visuals.
I'm tempted to get that game at some point but GTA style stuff is mostly a turn off to me and has been since after Vice City more or less. That game was perfection for the style and felt down hill since.

Edit: Just my thoughts... but how much will these required downloads turn people off of Switch or those particular games? Your Switch would be completely full after just a few. I know this is modern practice on other consoles... but I feel like it's going to do a lot more damage on Switch.

You make a good point. These required downloads can be a downer, but I think people have to realize that the Switch is a console just like the Xbox One and PS4. I think people sometimes tend to forget that's what it is as opposed to only a handheld. I can see it being an issue for a few, but in the modern era, it's the norm.
