Man, SO many games coming up now. Wasn't expecting it at this rate honestly. Guess it is best to slow down on getting a full-set until production stops for the Switch, which will be a quite a long time. Will get any game whenever they are on sale under $20 and anything that will be limited with goodies inside like the Nicalis games. Just have Kirby and Street Fighter prordered, Gal Gun Hugs Edition, and all NIS right now. Mega Man definitely too once its up.
I will absolutely be getting Shaq Fu, I am one of the few people who has nostalgia for the first. My buddies and I played a lot of Shaq Fu on Sega after basketball practice. I was in 6th grade at the time.
So, with the trend of some games being 50/50 cart and download (resident evil, bayonetta, megaman), is it possible to copy the downloaded game to a card and save it?
There is a movement towards that making your own physical. There are 3D printed shells being made that snap into empty Switch cases. People are buying cheap microSD cards and just copying the one game onto it and then storing it in a case with their own color printed cover art. Since no one really makes manuals anymore they fit right in. Because Nintendo now finally late in the game locks games to accounts and not just the hardware you can copy the game to the card, play from the card, go to another person Switch and if you make your account on there too run the game as well. It's an added expense but you can make physical games of your own going that route.
Is this really happening? What are the chances someone on NA offers this service for a small fee?
So here's a really interesting blurb I came across this morning. Kind of a tie-in for the physically/digitally split games and also Super Rare Games that we've been talking about lately. Definitely an interesting idea: https://nintendosoup.com/super-ra...
But they will only make 500 copies or something to that effect.

No joke, I've made fun of Limited Run Games' choice of company name (which highlights the forced faux-rarity of the games they release) by literally saying "Why don't they take it a step further and call themselves Super Rare Games or something".
Now Super Rare Games actually exists, I can't fuckin' believe it.
Like Soma said, it looks like collecting for the Switch could be a muddy affair for the full-set/special edition crowd. I'm good with just a uniform row of red cases lol.
I find it hard to believe Capcom would actually license out their IPs for publishing like that. Is there any precedent?
Either way I'm not gonna sweat it. There's gonna be a million great games to buy on the system, no point in worrying about which ones I don't have. If I had to drop $100 on something off in the future... well it's not like I didn't do that a number of times on SNES.

Boy it sure would be crazy if a company named Future Collectible Rarities released Golf Story, Sonic Mania, Celeste, and Stardew Valley on Switch.
If a company released physical versions of the halves companies won't release, I applaud them. Fuck the companies for not actually putting things on digital carts. I guess it's nice they give a freebie by including a download code, but with the Switch's actual harddrive space it's a joke. You can't download shit with the system unless you buy a huge sd card or multiple cards. I'll gladly undercut the actual company if someone is willing to release physical halves of the digital downloads.

I'd be shocked if three of those titles weren't out within 2018

I'd be thrilled if all 4 of them were, those games deserve space on my shelves....I'd just like to see them released and available at regular outlets (where I don't need to have a mouse with a hair-trigger hovering above a "preorder" link, waiting for it to go live).
I imagine LRG would be falling over themselves to sign a Stardew Valley. And the only reason I could see the creater not licensing to them is if he was making a deal with a retail publisher like Nicalis.
Stardew Valley seems too big for LRG. It's the best-selling eShop game, beating out the indomitable Minecraft. A regular retail release would be good because the price wouldn't be jacked up too

PS4 and XB1 got physical releases of Stardew didn't they?? Stands to reason someday the Switch would see a physical release as well, especially considering the game sold like crackrocks on the eShop.
OP finally updated with all the new upcoming games (and latest covers pic from Brock). Anything listed as a release window of a season is because that is the best I could find. Anything else is just listed as 2018 (instead of the irritating 12/31/2018). Thanks all for the help!

Unless the games have an official catalog/model# from Nintendo and/or UPC and ESRB I wouldn't consider then part of the set. I know most people wouldnt. I don't think one of LRGs Sony games has a SLUS # on it. Even Vblank's Retro City Rampage Vita/PS4 release didn't have an official license # from Sony. Strangely all these years after the fact they must have decided to go through the Big N as their Switch version does indeed have an official # and the Nintendo seal.
Like anything else, I'd say a full set is whatever you want it to be. Unlicensed, Latin America releases, competition carts, LRG, collect all of whatever you want
Is the "main" intended form of control on this system screen + Joycon on each side or something else? I know it can be used in many ways but wich one is the favored option? Because it uses an analog as opposed ro d-pad and while i haven't experienced it to be malfunctioning per se it's still not quite comparable. The way the stick has to swing from one side to the other and because of the looseness of it it never does so in a 100% line - just minor shit like that. Even if it does go right/left properly it still FEELS different due to those small discrepencies from one pull to the other.
Maybe i'm just reading too much into this shit i don't know. I wish the part where analog/buttons go were individually detachable pieces of plastic aswell so you could just attach the one you'd prefer.

I better get this list updated, so much stuff coming up
Yeah, get on it!
This to me is the coolest little Switch subset so far!
Agreed they are must haves. I put my stickers on the insides of the cases though
Limited to only 5,000 on pre-order
Human: Fall Flat very
https://superraregames.com/collections/products
Never heard of the company but figure to pass along
Does that come NTSC?
Not sure
There is also another NIS collector I believe not mentioned?

Excellent. NIS and their CEs will slowly drown DQ and his ill-advised quest

Any chance of getting a pic of dragon quest builders' spine for my website?
I'll get you a shot of this after I'm home for work. Don't really think it's an "error" per se though.
