Game stop retro

I'm new here but have been an NES "collector" for over a decade. I know that game stop has a terrible rep in this community but my experience isn't that bad. Super mario 3 is like 13 bucks right now and a few of their others beat ebay easily, plus if you search promo codes you can end up with free shipping and a discount. I've ordered 4 games from them and they were all clean with good labels. Why do people hate them so much ?

    Probably because they have made most of their profits from screwing people over via trade ins and their poor handling of retro preservation.

    Fair enough... i am totally out of the loop on this stuff. I started collecting long before it was cool and was able to get a pretty respectable library on the cheap. Im older and more financially stable now and was looking to fill some gaps in my collection... was totally blown away at what stuff is going for on ebay

    Plus most are just crappy repros they made to make feel it's a "legit" cart, if you buy any of them get the two gamebit screws then crack open those carts to see if it's nintendo's boards if not then it's a lousy repro board they put together then sold.

    Plenty of information on why Gamestop is disliked can be found by using Google. No need to fan the flames here.
