  • Where's the pic of K.Thrower with his snake? That's the 90s in a nutshell.

    And this:

  • So much late 90s stuff in here. There really is a divide in the 90s. I have nostalgia for late 90s too, but much more for early 90s when I was in elementary school.

  • I would've loved it if they did a baseball version of Space Jam (Space Slam?) starring Ken Griffey, Jr.
  • Let's see...stuff that was near and dear through my late childhood through high school (in no particular order)

Sega Genesis (sorry was a sega kid growing up, despite being a Nintendo guy now)

    POGS

    Super Soakers

    Crossfire

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures

    Perfection

    TIGER Handheld Games

    Yak Bak

    Koosh Balls

    Food/drink:

    Squeez-It

    Rice Krispies Treats cereal

    Cheetos PAWS

    Crystal Pepsi

    PB Max

    WWF Ice Cream Bars

    TV shows:

    WMAC Masters

    Fun House (game show)

    MacGyver

Animaniacs (and most of the Fox Kids lineup)

    In Living Color

    Married With Children

    Video Power

Gamepro (yes there was a Gamepro tv show)

Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?

The Disney cartoon lineup (Duck Tails, Tale Spin, etc)

  • *flails* This is my thread man. Oh god the nostalgia bomb is hitting me hard.

Hit clips (remember those?! I thought I was the coolest kid around when I got those...)

Sky Dancers (Had a ton of them)

Beanie Babies (I actually liked them...I still have a few)

Gargoyles, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin...(basically Disney when they didn't suck balls.)

Squeez-It color changing drinks (they came with little tablets/pills that if you put them into the drink they would change color!!!)

Dunkaroos (I know they still make them in Canada and you can order them from Amazon but read the reviews!!)

The Learning Pad from VTech (this was actually my first "video game"   )

Portable CD players (Upgrading from Hit Clips, you were "totally rad" if you owned one and had a bunch of CDs)

Going from the N64 to the PS1 (As much as I love the N64...the PS1's graphics blew my mind at the time)

Aaron Carter (I had SUCH a crush on him...lol ugh)

    Frosted tips (Yeah...)

VideoNow (I still have one and a few of the discs lol)

Card games (I was into collecting Pokemon and Yugioh...I didn't actually play mind you)

  • Nintendo and Super Nintendo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pogs, Twin Peaks, Nirvana, Vanilla Ice, Kris Kross, MC Hammer, Crystal Pepsi, just to name a few.
  • Pokemon, Nirvana, Oasis, Tarantino, Full Moon movies, Batman the Animated Series, The X-Files and Millennium. All great things and they all still hold up! Well maybe some of the Full Moon movies don't... but a lot of them still do!

I remember a school dance where that was on repeat for about half of it.

Also, how many of us had classmates that spent the entire day crying after Kurt Cobain died?

lol, I was just trying to hit things not already mentioned. I'm surprised Xmen didn't make anyone's list until now. That was huge. Has anyone brought up 90's wrestling yet? That's really the only era I was ever into it (and it seemed like everyone followed it)

How about all of the shitty movies we'd all go to because they only cost $3.50, so why not?

(or the existence of dollar theaters, if you didn't mind your feet sticking to the floor because part of their cost savings strategy was clearly only mopping once per week)

I remember the budget movie theater in my town had a big surround sound sign that hung crookedly, and the projector was at an angle so a chunk of the bottom was off the screen. Good times!
