Nes Tortoises Final 10 Copies Cowlitz 2017 Exclusive Ends Sunday 4/9 7PM PST

A special auction will be held for the final 10 copies of Tortoises that were offered at the show.  I have no idea if I will make more as sales for the game were kind of soft.

Alot depends on this auction.   The game is an hommage to the 1981 arcade game Turtles and has been built from the ground up by FG Soft.  A huge thank you to NA member qixmaster for donating the labels and boxes for this project.  John Riggs also put the game together on cart for me.   Each game comes with a box, grey cart, foam piece, sleeve, and box protector.   There is not a manual for the game.  Here is a simple video on the game:

As stated above there are 10 copies of the game left.  50% of proceeds will go to Arc of Cowlitz County, providing services to children with disabilities.  The other 50% will be to help fund Cowlitz Gamers Adventure 2, which is scheduled to be released this summer.  If the final 10 copies exceed a total of $1000, then it is feasable that I would consider an additional small run of Tortoises games for additional NA members.

Rules of the auction:

1.  Auction will end Sunday April 9th at 7:00 P.M. PST.  This would be 10:00 P.M. Eastern Time.

2.  There will be a minute extension rule.  If a bid is done the last minute, then the auction is extended another minute.  This continues until there is 60 seconds without a bid.

3.  Members must be registered before the auction starts.

4.  Members can bid as much as they want, no limits.  There is no editing of bids.

5.  Members can only be in the top bid counts once.  Up your bid is fine, but no multiple bidding on multiple carts.  Only one cart per person.

6.  Bidding for each cart will start at $50.  Shipping priority in the states will be $7.  Bidder responsible for the shipping fees.

7.  No hall of shame bidders allowed.

8.  Shipping to the United States only for this auction.

9.  Bidding must be incresed by $1 incriments.  Starting bid for all carts begins at $50.00

10. People posting first will have priority in the event of two bids being the same and another person bidding higher.

Again, the purpose of the auction is twofold, to rasie money for ARC and to help fun a run of a new Cowlitz Gamers 2nd Adventure this summer.  In the event that this auction raises over $1000, I will consider doing a small run of Tortoises.  Let the auction begin!

Top Bidders

1.  Kage Copitz   $100

2.  Fleck586 $76

3.  Ferris Bueller $75

4.  Kosmic Stardust $64

5.  RPGCollector $63

6.  Sonikthehedgehog $56

7.  Puppywaffles $55

8.  Phoenixphyre $54

9.  Neodolphino $53

10.  Johnnyboy 113 $52

Sorry for the typo, still recovering from Cowlitz and have been pretty wiped.  Fixed and list updated with the 5 bidders.  Thank you so much.  Spread the word about this special auction!

  • We have 3 hours and 15 mins left...anyone else interested?
  • Updated, and only about 50 minutes to go. Act now if you want to get this game!
  • I bid $200. And I won't take no for an answer.
  • Dang. I was in the car driving for the last three hours. Congrats to the winners though!
  • PAID. Thanks!

EDIT: Can't beieve I actually won something for once!
  • Just a heads up that I am awaiting payment for a few, but then I plan to ship out Thursday. Sorry for the delay, just been a crazy week.  I would like to thank you everybody for contributing to this small release.
  • Damm missed this. Will there be a regular release or any more copies?

hard to say.  Sales were not great.  I do have boxes and labels for more, but just dont want to have to spend alot to only sell a few more over time for charity.  As many know, this was sold for Arc of Cowlitz County/Fund Cowlitz 2nd Adventure.   If someone wants to dontate carts and PCBs or willing to do pay for a small run, then I might consider doing a little run for NA members.  Cowlitz 2nd Adventure will be the focus next year, so time will tell.  I knew this going into the project.  Pretty obscure title and am just happy that we had an exclusive for the show this year.

  • I am awaiting on Kage Kopitz to pay for the game. If anyone has contact with him, please let him know that I am awaiting payment and have not heard from him.
  • How did I miss this!!!! I didn't check the site often enough because of Midwest Gaming Classic...crud.

Well, if other copies come up for sale, I'd be interested, if you are starting a list.
  • I will start a list on the seller forum. Will go from there.
