So, another Nintendo World Championships 1990 grey cart has popped up...
It was just another day in my store, doing trade ins, processing games, ringing customers up, etc. In walks one of our customers who has been to the store a few times. This guy is in his early 20s and is more into playing hand helds and PS1 rather than caring about NES games. I sell him a mini PS1 with the flip up screen and we chat a little as we usually do. As he goes to leave, he turns around and says, "Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you, do you know of a game called Nintendo World Championship with little switches on it." I say, "Yeah, sure. Why do you ask?". He says, "My uncle has that game, I heard it was valuable". So I tell him"Yes, it is very valuable. If it is in good condition, I would easily pay 5 grand for it today". His eyes get huge and he says he will talk to his uncle. As he is about to leave, I ask him can he send me a picture of it, but to prove his uncle really has it, to place the PS1 with the screen I just sold him in the picture with it. The next day, he sends me the picture below. The condition is not great, however I told him I would still pay a lot for it. His uncle purchased it at Radio Shack for $15 years ago. He told his uncle how much I offered, and his uncle got mad at him for going through his things. Hopefully I can talk them into bringing it into the store because I want this SOOO bad. Anyway, if nothing else, I thought it was cool another popped up. It is #026. I truly do not care how the condition is, I just want it for my collection.

Glad to see its not some gimmick or hoax scam attempt. And how he was able to post a pic next to something as proof.
ID still want to see it in person before doing anything further.
Hopefully this does all work out for you.
I will only believe it when shameless gaming review websites say it's true, for the numbers.
Purchased a NWC at Radio Shack? How on earth did one end up there?
If the story's real I wonder if it was one that sold used electronics, the one in my old hometown used to and I'd find old gaming accesories there now and then.
I truly do not care how the condition is, I just want it for my collection.
Amen to that! Here's to some restless nights dreaming about achieving my dream cart
