As cool as a ps2 kiosk is idk that anyone would make that trade. MAYBE for the gamecube one but definitely not snes or Virtual Boy. I put all my kiosks on the table for a snes kiosk and didn't get a single bite.

    Damn!

Yeah I feel like the people who have them don't want to give them up and if they do it's not going to be cheap. Especially if it's complete And in good working condition.

  • Dang, that is awesome. Congrats

Don't sweat it, man. The SNES countertop kiosk seems to be one of the more common kiosks around. Lots people have them. One will come up.

No. There's a new one that's up for auction.

  • They come up often truthfully and does the monitor work that you got

It's a work in progress. Currently waiting on a new scart cable because the one I had was toast. But I'm actually picking up another "counter top" piece that looks to maybe still have the original scart in there. It's from the same guy I got the monitor. And technically the monitor I have and that piece originally went together.

I'm actually going to pick up the other piece the guy had with the monitor after work today and it looks like it has the original cable still in there. And technically my monitor and that Piece originally went together. So hopefully it'll work

Well I'll take it apart once I get it and see how it looks. Maybe it'll already work. So let's just hope. I'll update everyone tonight.

  • Here she is ladies and gentleman completely restored from top to bottom. When I got her she needed a lot of love. The light didn't work, the controllers weren't attached, no keys, and there was no monitor. I was fortunate enough to come across a monitor and someone who had the original base to go with it. The monitor had the typical inverted and funny colors. After trial and error we confirmed that it was the motherboard in the base and the scart cable. Luckily the spare base still had all the innards, including the motherboard. So there ya have it folks. Isn't she a beauty?
  • Congrats!

can't wait to add this one to my collection one day

Don't forget you live in cali. Nintendo kiosk capital  some have been spreading the word for awhile lol

  • Congratulations on that, looks awesome. I didn't have an SNES as a kid, so the kiosk in the back of J.C. Penny is where I first experienced so many games. The mall we went to had kiosks in so many stores, but the one J.C. didn't automatically reset after a set time limit. (If I remember correctly, some of those store display SNESs did.) That kiosk was where I played Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Mortal Kombat 2, and Star Fox for the first time. My favorite thing back then was having an orthodontist appointment, because that meant I'd get out of school on a school day and could usually have the kiosk to myself for a few hours. I have a lot of nostalgia for these kiosks.

This is true. But I got really lucky with my snes kiosk. I put all my kiosks on the table and didn't get one bite.

Many have been spreading the word around here for a long time as well despite me being in Southern California. I just happened to get lucky. Plus I know someone by you (that you know as well) that has more stuff than I've ever seen any one person down here have. Lol.

It seems as though anyone who has a snes kiosk isnt willing to let it go. Doesn't mean they aren't out there
