Advise: $300 for Aero Fighters PCB?

Just for the authentic board. There's a shell, but the label isn't original so it comes down to the PCB really. Was offered it for that price, curious people's thoughts whether it's worth it or not.

  • I found Aero Fighters for $360 a couple months back, and it was all original. I certainly wouldn't pay that much for the PCB, but that is just me. I kinda regret paying that much period. That was a lot of money for me and I played the game once and didn't find it to be anything special.
  • Easy pass. Maybe at $200 it might be worth it, but for something like that, the label is easily worth 1/2 or more of the value.

Well, are you going to find someone selling a legit Aero Fighters shell anytime soon? If not you're eventually just going to have to buy another Aero Fighters and flip the PCB to the next sucker down the line. And I bet an Aero Fighters PCB has a small market. People don't want to spend $100s on Aero Fighters* *replacement label for a high end piece in their collection, they just want Aero Fighters.

No idea if it's "worth it" in terms of price to personal satisfaction, but since there's little hope of completing the cart, I would just wait for a real copy and save the hassle.

  • Just seems like a pain in the ass down the road, don't do it.
  • When I read the title, I assumed it was for the arcade pcb.

The arcade pcb sells for $80 or so, which is nuts when you look at the SNES release.

For the price of some AES games you can buy an entire MVS arcade machine with a copy of the same game. Street Figher Zero 3 on Saturn can sell for more than the original arcade PCB too. Game collecting is a disease.
  • OP: no, way too much for no original label

that's a solid buy. you could flip it basically any time you want and come out ahead.

  • Unless you're collecting a set of SNES PCB only, no.
  • Not worth it.
  • Nope, as a collector.

Potentially, as a gamer, but nowhere near that price. Also, as a gamer, the Super Famicom release "Sonic Wings" or Everdrive would be sooooo much cheaper.

Street Fighter Zero 3 is kinda a bad example because it has more than the arcade version offers while being arcade perfect, but your point still stands with the Neo Geo stuff.
  • Sonic Wings (SFC) is better than the US Aero Fighters release anyway, since they removed the second loop from the US version for no fucking reason.

I have the sfc version and didnt know that about the US version..didnt feel like paying for the US version for the game. Not such a great game in its own right, its a complete rip off of one of my favourite shoot em ups ever...Raiden.I didnt notice until i gave sonic wings a go a few weeks ago.
