Not a toy, I'm an action figure guy. Really? Wheels? Come on lol
Well, they don't call toy cars "toy cars" because they aren't toys.
It sounded like you were complaining that they were just figures that didn't do anything when, well, they do. They may not be "action" figures, but they are closer than many Happy Meal toys by simple virtue of being figures instead of toy cars and the like (pretty sure they did Hot Wheels again recently).
I'm guessing that you don't see many action figures because kids might choke on the small articulating parts and McDonald's doesn't want the liability.
McDonald "action" figures are super lame but they technically make them. Usually will have a single point of articulation - one arm. Sometimes they might even swivel at the hip or kick a single leg.
Also I have an extra sealed Bowser if anyone wants to trade for anything other than Luigi. Hell I'd even trade for one of those Hello Kitty toys if it's not one my son already has.
I finally got the damn red shell. I got two actually...because I ended up getting a whole second set.
Check the McDonald's in Walmart's. I called a local one and sure enough the lady said she had ALL of the toys in the series. Now I have one to save sealed and one to open and play with!
The Walmart near me hasn't had a McDonalds inside for ~5 years. Now it's a Checkers/Rally's and a pretzel place.
When they first built this Walmart SuperCenter in the mid '90s, the McDonalds was in the very back. There was giant wall pictures of happy people. One was a picture of little boy(?) with curly hair playing with a happy meal toy. The box and toy were out of focus or intentionally blurred, but I could tell it was the pull-back-and-go Luigi from the Super Mario Bros. 3 Happy Meal.
Went to a different restaurant today. It seems they're over compensating. My single Happy Meal had 2 red shell toys. After like 50 toys, I finally have 2 Princess Peaches and 2 red shells.
I have an extra sealed red shell if anyone needs one...I just need to find it, I gave it to my mom at the time to hold onto so no idea where she set it.

My filet-o-fish had a full slice of cheese too.
