Strangest Official Zelda Merchandise?

I am just curious. The weirdest official piece of Legend of Zelda merchandise you have ever seen?

  • Here's an odd one. I feel like it would poke you in the nose when you're trying to drink your coffee.

  • I used to have a set of rubber stamps that had moving arms and legs for the characters that were for making flip books.

It included Link, a Goriya, and a Stalfo, along with a shield, a sword, and a boomerang.
  • Were those 8 bit figures on the stamps?
  • I think Europe had deku tree seeds as a promotional item
  • Gold GBA SP.

No.  They were stylized somewhat like the cartoon.

My sister had a set that were Muppet Babies, from the same timeframe.

  • Well known, but I have always thought the Nintendo trash cans were odd and there's the Zelda one, of course.
  • There's a ton of strange Zelda merch in the Nintendo power supplies catalog.

I got the gold Game Boy Camera, which has some Zelda OoT assets that weren't in the original GBC.

Reminds me of a story when we were getting all pissed up at my buddies place.

His Dad had this square cup that he would always bring down and ask someone to try whatever drink he had out. Well when you are gettin frigged up you just don't think about it and drink from the side but it spills all out the corners.

I saw it happen a few times where someone just wore it hahahahaha!

  • The top one was BK toy i think. And im sure the rest are legit!

My wife got me that exact "sword in the stone" style Master Sword from Medieval Times here in Toronto!
  • Found this recently:

It's an officially-licensed belt and belt buckle that you are intended to cut to size. The belt part also has various Zelda designs pressed in on it.

Yes, the instructions on the back tell you to cut it a certain way to attach the buckle (after measuring, of course). Guess they didn't want to make various sizes!
  • im drinking tea out of a nice BotW mug right now. I bought my GF a Zelda iced coffee cup a while back. im currently trying to get a new wallet with the triforce on it. found a good one on ebay

I don't mean to make an insensitive comment but does Link not look to have Down's Syndrome in this statue?

  • Ha, that can't be legit.

    This is bizarre LOL xD

  • The Burger King Zelda toy isn't so strange when you have it in its complete condition - three enemies are on little plates that stick out of those openings, and you're supposed to slide the spring loaded link back and press that rock to get him to spin attack and kill all the enemies. I think they were Deku Scrubs, but if I remember right, one was one of the Deku Guards from the palace that you can't attack. Typical uncaring licensed fast food toys, I guess.

As for me, the most out of place Zelda merch that I own is a kite that I got from a Dollar Tree when I was probably 7 years old. It's triangular and has the Ocarina of Time design of older Link, Ganondorf, and young Zelda on it... I don't even know if it's actually licensed merch, or just some bootleg crap Dollar Tree got from China. It was basically the best flying kite I ever owned, damn shame that it broke. I was using it as a wall ornament, but something about the plastic it's made of got sticky and gross, so the "paint" (I guess) sort of fucked up, so it looks well worn.
  • I have a legit NOA sealed Zelda yoyo from the late 80's. Has to be one of the strangest.
  • One I seen lately was a canteen in the shape of the gold nes cartridge i most bought it but with evil intentions of sipping juice and eating graham crackers while playing BotW.
  • Well there were the Oracle of Ages/Seasons promotional shampoo bottles that were shaped like Gameboy Advances. The "screen" has the artwork of Link swimming on it. Ive seen them on eBay.

Here's one. I want one, but not for that price.

  • They had trophies in the 80s at Kmart that had link vs and enemy and on the back or bottom was a sticker where you could write down when you beat it. I wish I knew where the one i had went.
  • I think I had all those when I was a kid! Woah, unexpected flashback.  I remember one with Link and a bomb, I think, and another where he was shooting a flying bat with a bow.

I'm not entirely convinced that's not supposed to be a crucifix...
