N64 NFR Games
So I bought an N64 bundle with six games and four controllers (Grey[2], Atomic Purple, Blue, Mario 64, Star Wars SotE, GE007 [2], Pokemon Stadium, NHL 99) for $150 CAD ($110 USD), but not until I got home did I realize that one of the Goldeneyes was "Not For Resale". I've only been collecting N64 for about 6 months and didn't realize that these were a thing. I looked it up and couldn't BELIEVE what they are going for on eBay...
Anyway, long story short:
I'm trying to build a North American collection, all games, consoles, controllers, and accessories released in NA. Is it worth keeping the NFR version (which leads down an expensive rabbit trail), or should I just sell it and get Worms or something?
Thanks for the input!

For me, the itch to collect the NFRs and variants didn't really come to me until the main set was complete. I'm sure that will be a telling time for you as well.
This is the most "up to you" type of decision there is in collecting. For me, I wanted them. Yes, it was expensive. Yes, I'm glad I did it. Sort of like going after the NES titles outside of the licensed 677 set.
Hey now, you can't put down hundreds of playable foreign, unlicensed, and homebrew NES games as collector curiosities like that! Banana Prince, Action 52, and Legends of Owlia are all real-life games you can play. Don't put them on the level of a store demo cart label variant
Otherwise pitch that $#!@ and definietely go fund the collection and go for a Worms Armageddon or Sculptors Cut cart as obviously now they are getting insane!
If I was collecting N64 hardcore 5-7 years ago Id say go for it, not by necesity but if you just ran into them and held onto them. Now-a-days Id say F@#! it and just sell it. NFR (Unless specified as a DEMO with a completely different rom) are nothing but a small variant on the cartridge label difference. (Again if specified as the same rom) That would be my only reason to keep an NFR when I run into them. (EXAMPLE: Zelda Minish cap DEMO NFR Cart) Theres alot of different games out there that had an altered release after the NFR cart was printed, so doing your research definitely is a good thing to still do... (Again if you care about SLIGHT Differences or HISTORY)

I'm sold. I already have a Goldeneye with a couple of pretty deep saves on it. The only reason I would keep it is because of the value to re-acquire, but since I don't really care and it's nothing more than a label variant, I'll just pass it along.
Thanks.

That's not my intention to diminish people's view of those games, there are tons of great unlicensed NES titles (although I would argue that some of those games do indeed suck and are collector curiosities, Action 52 being the glowing example of the ones provided). The only thing they have in common in the context I was using is that for collector purposes, they're both things that collectors often start seeking after the original set is complete. Not trying to say anything about the games themselves, just the collectibility of them.
