Unfortunately this is a byproduct of the market. The games are in high demand, some more so than others, with not enough supply to meet the demand.
Nintendo wont make them, somebody else does.
It sucks, but thats the nature of the beast. If these games were going for $5 like they were years ago this wouldn't be a problem. This is a major reason why I just stopped hunting games and mostly focusing on the obscure stuff. The mainstream movement of collecting has raised the prices of real games all while opening up a new bootleg market as well.

As long as sellers aren't intentionally trying to be shady about what they are selling I don't have a huge issue with it. Up to a point. Repros for common titles which aren't valuables serve little purpose. Unfortunately just a part and parcel of the hobby. People just need to be more aware of how to spot the fakes and know what they are buying.
Lol, I got "got" yesterday. Picked up a nice non yellow snes with 2 controllers Mario rpg, dkc2, lion king, and super Mario allstars/world for 100. Super Mario Allstars/ World was a repro. I guess its time to get into the habit of checking every cart.
It's comical how ridiculous it's getting. At first we were seeing scumbags sell Hagane carts for $50+ because it's a repro of a legitimate rare game. Now we have scumbags selling common titles like Super Castlevania IV and Super Double Dragon for barely less than the market price of the legit cartridge.

This crap has to stop, it's so annoying.
I think $6 with free shipping is the cheapest one I've seen sell so far and it was AAAHHH Real Monsters. lol
At Super Bitcon this year there was a vendor with a table full of repros. Some were romhacks and translations which is fine but they had A LOT of regular 64 game repros. Smash bros, Mario Party, Conker, etc. etc. It was lame as hell.

This is a very accurate explanation.

Besides that one they have a bunch all the way down to $15 for Virtual Bart.
I think you could still beat that price for a real one if you are patient
The guy messaged me back when I called him out and was like "I had no idea this was illegal or what the regular item went for, and you're mean!!"
