    Haha, duh.

I thought you were referring to some game ported to NES, which is why I was confused. I was like "Super Mario... Mothers??" Haha...

Good god. If the SMS version was "much worse", I can't imagine how bad it is. Like really... I can't think of last time I played a game THAT terrible.

The Talos Principle. I'd been wanting it for a while and it was finally on sale with DLC, so I figured I'd finally plop down for it. The reviews made it seem like I'd be getting a Portal-tier puzzle game with perhaps a more philosophy angled story... but instead it's basically the same boring mechanics reused constantly with a really heavy-handed Judeo-Christian subplot with a story told through way too long to sit down and read emails. The developers obviously didn't know anything about story pacing or even getting the player interested in the world before dumping a ton of it on you. I've played through one of three (4?) worlds and I just can't really find it in me to boot it back up.

The areas are huge and your character moves pretty slowly. In general, it just isn't as fun of a game to run around in as Portal. It's a little unfair that I keep going back to Portal as my frame of reference, but... It's a first person puzzle game. Also there are collectables hidden in the most obtuse places possible. I actually had to break the game to get three of them. I'm not against breaking a game to get cool bonuses, but at least make it obvious that I'm supposed to break the game.

    I'm disappointed to hear that.

  • Xenophobe looks and plays better on the 7800.. but I still not a super big fan of it.

I can be pretty critical so maybe you'll still want to give it a go. It isn't awful, but it isn't what I expected from a puzzle game after Portal and Antichamber set the bar. I'd wait for a hearty sale before buying it, though. Speaking of which, though, if you haven't played it and enjoy puzzle games, Antichamber is brilliant.

I picked it up as part of a humble bundle, I think, so i already have Talos Principle "on the cheap".

  • The combination Ms. Pacman/Galaga cabinet in the Walmart arcade: the joystick constantly locks, preventing my ship from dodging the incoming enemy fire.

The Cruis'n Exotica cabinet at K-Mart: the steering wheel is horribly off kilter, causing my car to go all over the track with even the slightest of turns.

  • I was gonna say cliffhanger on the nes, but the the more I play it, the more I enjoy the mechanics and ridiculous level design...

I didn't get it when I watched the video (Tumbleseed), is it just motion controls rocking something back and forth doing a sort of obstacle course?

I saw one person comment about Kamiko, have you tried that one yet Kraken?

You control the pitch of the bar that the ball rolls on, and can move the left and right ends up/down independently. You navigate the ball around obstacles, monsters, pits, and collect powerups.

  • Steep for PS4, just awful. Controls were whack af.
