Ok. I'm back. And I'm gonna win!
I'm having trouble with a certain game boss right now. I've decided to walk away for a bit then when ready, take him on again.
I've done this so many times, but sometimes I win on my first attempt back. What took me ages to learn and master, I did with barely any effort. I remember when I needed to beat Mean Bean Machine on the Sega collection to get every Achievement. It was tough as hell, so I set up a saturday where I got ready to listen to a 3 hour podcast, and I was either going to win or the podcast would end and I would leave it for a month.
I beat it on the first try. Took 5 minutes.
Has this ever happened to any of you in a game? Coming back to a boss and walking over them like they were nothing? Maybe not a boss but a challenge or puzzle.

For example, Dracula in Castlevania I....I fought him once and then came back and whooped his ass no problem, once you practice jumping over his projectiles it makes it easy.
Most difficult games are like that though, you know you are never going to beat the boss the first time it is just studying.
I made it to Dracula for the first time and probably tried again and again for an hour or two and couldn't do it. I didn't come back to it for like a month or two and did it on my third try
I think you are going through it in your subconscious over and over when sleeping or taking a break and when you come back not frustrated you beat it.

Dude that bean machine achievement. I used to care a lot about achievements and that one was such a bitch. I had the rest of the game done but couldn't get it. I'm honestly not sure if I ever did. I rarely rage quit on stuff like that but I remember getting really frustrated.
Last year I walked away from DK Tropical Freeze cause it was annoying me and I couldn't beat the last boss.
Come back to it after a 6 or 7 month break and BAM beat it in the first few tries...
Tilting.
Also, 3-starring circuits in Mario Kart. You need to finish 1st on all 4 races to get 3 stars. I'll finish 1st/1st/1st/ and then a last-second blue shell will make me come in 2nd on the last course. I'll repeat this for 2 hours, coming 2nd in at least one race. Put it down for the day, come back and 3-star it on the first try.
