Got a message this week asking if a $6 game was real or fake.

  • Sounds like a pain in the ass buyer. Just add them to your block list.
  • This is actually an interesting idea. You could troll ebay sellers by intentionally asking them inane questions that are vaguely offensive, plausible but unlikely, and question their knowledge and integrity without being outright insulting.
  • Leave a reply so everyone can see it saying "Who would fake a NES title worth less than $5? I find your level of stupid disturbing"

But seriously I wouldn't sell to her this might be some kind of BS tactic to scam you.
  • When keeping it real goes wrong.

She may have asked an inane question, and I'm sure you've all had problems with 'bad buyer's in the past, but this thread doesn't shine a pretty light on a lot of members here...

I agree the insults are not needed.

New members these days are fucking lame

OptOut brought another perspective to the discussion, and actually makes a good point whether you agree or not.  It's fine to get a little laugh about someone's silly question, but I also think it's a little over the top and inappropriate for a member here to actually message her on ebay about the transaction that they have nothing to do with, whether joking or serious about the offer.  I also think it's not productive to call another user here "fucking lame" because they don't agree with harassing and ridiculing someone.  I don't care whether someone has been here for 10 minutes or 10 years, we should still treat each other with more respect.

I'm fine with being fucking lame when I need to be if it means checking ourselves every now and then just to make sure we're not coming across like a bunch of bullies.

  • Maybe Gina is the ultimate troll and got one over on all of us. I can see her now, laughing with her glass dildo. Muhahaha!

Yeah, you're taking this thread way too seriously. Good for you.
