Really? Somehow, I never read that anywhere. I assume you do this after using the numeric pad to select which game difficulty level you want to play at? Or is there another way to go through the in-game menus (a pass through device w/keypad, using controller #2's keypad [which I've sadly never tried], etc.)?
Yeah, hotswap the controller is the usual way. Some games allow you to use controller #2, but I don't know if SW Arcade will.

Wow, thanks for that! I can't find any links on the original creators' website about that adapter and there's only a single one on eBay being offered for $100 (seriously), so if I don't get any response from the guys who first made them (or at least made the ones referenced in the video), I'll probably just pick up a pair of 2600/Genesis extension cables (which seem to use the exact same ends as the cable featured in the video) and splice the two into one cable. If both sets of controllers are wired the exact same way, there shouldn't be any reason I can't do it myself over the course of an evening.
