  • What the fuck! He just played here! What the fuck?
  • Very bummed. RIP
  • Man this is so sad, he literally just played in my town last week. Now I'm really sad I never got to see him play live. I was hoping to see Chris and Pearl Jam do a Temple of the dog show. R.I.P. Brother
  • No fucking way. I can't believe this.
  • It sucks a lot.
  • This shit hit me hard.

    RIP Chris

Same here.  Didn't get to see them this time around, was hoping to see them next time they were close.  He played in Detroit yesterday then died last night.  Sucks on many levels.

  • One my favorites. Listen to his solo record 'songbook'. Just an amazing voice.
  • Was really looking forward to the Denver show. RIP Chris
  • Man. One of my favorites. Sincere prayers for his family.

    Let's play some Road Rash.
  • I wasn't familiar with any of his work with the exception of You Know My Name, the theme to Casino Royale, and that was an absolutely fantastic song and probably the best Bond song to date, so this is really sad to me as well. My heart goes out to his friends and family, he definitely died way, way too young.
  • Fucking shit. Like wtf............

    Fucking pissed about this

    Sob , man this blows

I thought I had time to see the band

Didn't know he was that far off by what police are saying about the scene.

    Sucks that he gave up

    Hopefully he's at peace

Damn another shitty way to wake up
  •   damn
  • Watched many shows in the 90's RIP Chris.....
  • Damn indeed.

    Might have been suicide.

So glad I got to see him live a few years back with Soundgarden. RIP.
  • Just awful. Superunknown was the 1st album I ever purchased. I was in 5th grade and was blown away by the black hole sun video, I begged my folks to let me get the cd. My dad had to pre-listen to the entire album to make sure it was appropriate for a 10 year old. I'll always have a special place in my heart for him.
  • I feel fortunate I was able to see Soundgarden a few years back touring with Nine inch nails. Saw back to back shows.
  • That sucks. Well I know what I will be listening to the rest of the day.
  • I'm having a hard time from this. Saw him less than two weeks ago at Carolina Rebellion. He sounded good, cracked a few jokes, and delivered an amazing show.

Say Hello to Heaven you angelic sounding bastard.
  • This guy was awesome. Hell of a voice.......

Glad i got to see him at least once. I hope it wasn't drugs
  • I've had "Say Hello to Heaven" playing over and over in my head all day long

Gonna have to put Temple of the Dog back on the turntable when I get home...
  • Veddar the last man standing now
  • Pretty shitty. Sounds like suicide, amazing how someone can play a show in front of thousands of fans and take their own life afterwards.

Yep, even though some think Grunge can be done by anyone from anywhere lol
  • Man, this one stings a bit.

Kurt Cobain committed suicide for a number of reasons, one of them being thinking he couldn't kick heroin and didnt want his daughter to grow up with a junkie dad.

I saw Chris Cornell sing at that Bernie rally and he was a mess.  Did he have a drinking problem?  Perhaps he was clean and got back on and had the same kind of revelation, if it WAS suicide that is.
  • Not a huge fan or anything but the guy is a good song writer and has a great voice.

It is shitty to see dudes from the last good radio mainstream era gone, after that it just went to total ass.

Once those dudes are gone rock will be completely dead.
  • Such a tragedy... his music had such an influence on me growing up. I remember trading soundgarden and audioslave CD's with my friends in high school. I found Temple of the Dog a few years later and it's honestly become one of my favorite albums.

I'm really kicking myself about missing out on that TotD reunion/first tour earlier this year thinking I'd catch it next time...
  • RIP Cornell,a great musician.Looks like suicide by hanging himself,he will be missed.
