Sorry I meant on the other side of the cart. Is there a "female" slot at the top of the cart?

  • yes it has 2 female slots and male on bottom,  i also took a pic of it next to an n64 cart and a sega cart for comparison, kinda cool as i love genesis and n64 the most, it is the on in the middle FYI,

2 FEMALE PARTS lol SHES TAKEN! jk but yes shes taken but i posted a pic of her bent over taking it by the cd64 for you guys lol
  • if nobody knows what it does , one thing i know it does cause ive done it, it lets you load a game on it and it will bypass lockout chips and let u play pirated games on cds on the cd64. depending on the game u wanted to play you had to load a certain other game with matching lockout chip type... i hope i explained that right, correct me if im wrong

maybe not ON it maybe through it i dont know lol im still slowly teaching myself how to use it great, the manual is SHITBEANS
  • FOUND GREAT INFO if anybody cares besides me haha ---- http://n64.icequake.net/mirror/slaanesh79/Backup_Units/CD64/CD64.htm

first picture ive found of the PCD is on that site

it says --- This PCD (Protected Cartridge Decoder) allows you to play the game without the need for a path or crack. It simply mixes the 2 carts you have inserted into the slots: one slot is for an ordinary boot cartridge (like Super Mario 64) and the other one is for the Protected Cartridge (e.g. Snowboard 1080, Banjo Kazooie).
