As a kid, my favorite was Michelangelo, but now I'm a mature adult and Donatello is my favorite. Lots of great supporting characters to choose from, but I was always The Rat King. I think he was misunderstood and I liked that also lived in the sewers. Casey Jones is a close second.
3rd poll added. Use to go round and round with my friend growing up that Turtles was better than Power Rangers. So i'll put that to a poll here as well. I never liked power rangers, Turtles was my Jam!
Donatello, same nickname, favorite weapon, Green and Purple's my favorite color combo, all around best Ninja Turtle.
Side Character, has to be Shredder. When his memory was erased in that one episode from the cartoon he was a pretty chill dude, plus he's got those kickass claws on his wrists (but never really used them cause, you know, blood in cartoons = bad).
Tmnt over Power Rangers, even as a kid that show got repetative: Some normal real life stuff, one or two rangers sees the bad guy doing something evil, bad guy escapes, whole team goes to fight, bad guy ALWAYS turns into a giant, Power Rangers need to form a Megazord (Mechazord? It's been to long), and there's a giant explosion in the end. Watched an episode of the newest series with my nephew, hasn't changed one damn bit.
Still a fan of Power Rangers. Haven't kept up with the newest TMNT show but I have seen probably a half season worth and it was okay. Only watch that when my daughter is in the mood for it and picks it. Power Rangers I watch on my own time.
As a kid Raphael was always my favorite. He is still probably my favorite today. The only difference is that I never use him in any of the video games anymore because his reach is usually pretty short. As a kid, I would always select him because he was my favorite, not really understanding the disadvantage.
I always thought Slash was a pretty cool side character. Maybe Leatherhead second.
***EDIT*** Super Shredder was probably my favorite toy.
I picked Michaelangelo for nostalgia but I would say my current favorite is Donatello, as far as side characters I picked bebop because I didn't see metal head, but Casey jones is up there too. So many hard choices!
