Would you turn down a game cause of its condition?
Like this one time I went to a retro game store and they had gilligan's island game for the Nes. The thing is it was in nasty condition, the outside was dirty and the inside there was a dead roach and some dried up roach poo you know freaking gross. I wasn't gonna get it at first but then I thought about it like this is one of those games you don't see too often, I know it's not rare. So I went and bought it but I cleaned it real good and sanitized it. Sometimes when I'm at a flea market some cases for ps2 games be tore up and beat up condition most times that stop me from getting it. How you guys feel about that situation?

Usually just about anybody would refuse to buy a nasty game unless it's severely discounted, dead roach would've been a deal breaker for most, I hope you didn't pay much for it.
pretty much my thoughts. Depends what it is. If I see a little Samson for 5 bucks at a flea market, but I had to extract it directly from a dog's anus, I'd probably still get it. If I'm paying a lot for something, it better be nice, if it's dirt common, I'll find it somewhere else.

Thats terrible! Why is it in the dogs ass!? I would definitely be making a strongly worded phone call to some folks after safely removing the game and purchasing!
seriuosly tho i love the price of shit, bug, hair, smoke resin filled games.
If you find a gem in a dogs butt, pull it out. If it's a SMB/Duck Hunt, leave it in there.
Haha... but really... if it's a great game/I don't have it, I don't care THAT much about condition if I'm buying it on the cheap or found it "in the wild". But if I'm paying a good price, then the cart should reflect the value.
Otherwise, the price difference between a crappy condition game and a nice condition game is almost never worth it to me. I don't even want to deal with Goo Gone-ing EBgames stickers anymore. There's no reason to have games like that stinking up my shelf, let alone dealing with how much more difficult they are to get rid of if you ever want to trade them.
Lol I seem opposite of everyone here. Gross is okay, as long as label is decent and cart is full intact. Torn label ill pass. Im going to clean it anyway.
oh, there is one thing that ill pass on. torn top label.
front labek, i dont give a shit. cart completely covered in dog shit, human piss and cat hair, all good.
torn top label, NOPE.

I am definitely not speaking from experience or anything. Wear gloves.

Agreed, I clean and sanitize all my games anyways so it does not botter me if they are dirty, as long as the label is not torn

Kinda makes me wish there was a place that offered cheap rare games for doing weird shit.

try me.
To resell, most likely not.
Label damage in particular irks me as I don't want to put on a repro label. Marker/sticker residue I can clean off is okay.
If its priced really well, I would probably pick it up, and then wait for an upgrade (if theres a bit of a nick in it, or yellowed). If its ripped terribly I wouldn't. Or if its really cheap and beat up, why bother? Theres tons of em.
I am picky about obvious visual contamination -- mold, mildew, bugs. Not bringing that knowingly into my house, where it can not only sully other items in my collection, but also create a potential health issue for my family.
I usually have pretty high standards for carts but every once in a while I go slummin'. I was glad to pay $9 for this one. Gotta love that wavy label. It's even uglier in person, and it's a 1%-er, that shit is all stuck on there like a tattoo. But Im in love with my pin connector so everything gets cleaned to the point of ocd no matter how long it takes. I look at carts like this as placeholders, I'd much rather have this for now as oppose to nothing or a reproduction.
