What do you guys think about this? I've collected GPK in the past (actually just bought a couple of packs) and the art style and humor is a definite fit for skateboarding. I guess so long as this type of thing doesn't become normal, I think it's pretty cool. Buying boards like baseball cards

I've been thinking about jumping on one, but I just can't bring myself to buy another deck. I have too many as it is!
I think the idea of them is really cool though. I hope they keep coming out with more. I don't think I'd be happy getting a random one though. I'd want to go after a particular one.
I love collaborations like that. My buddies company Skate Mental is doing a No Limit Records collab earky 2018. It's going to be pretty rad.
Your buddy owns Skate Mental, eh?
The guys at Famila gave me the outlet cover air freshner and it's the best thing I own. Tell him that a random guy on the internet says "Thanks for the awesomeness!"
Anyway, I think collabs are always a good thing if done right. I'm always on the lookout for them.

I'm sure they're sold out.
Looks like the majority of the boards feature Adam Bomb, which I'd love to hang on the wall. The randomness comes in the form of the one-off boards.
Looks like Santa Cruz made a bunch of shirts too... Looks like I know where my next paycheck is headed... darn
I LOVE Skate or Die 2.... wait.... is this the right thread?
Skate game discussion is certainly welcome!
(with the understanding that THUG is the best game ever... jk).
I had to lok up what THUG was... Tony Hawk's Underground... Game?
I love the ramp mode in SK2. It's my favourite. Funny how the adventure mode is so horrible (to me).
Tony Hawk's UnderGround
Let's face it, THUG sounds cooler than THU. Great game in it's day, hasn't held up as well as the normal THPS games have though.
THUG 2 and THPS 4 are the best ones, though I haven't played any of them after EA Skate was released. I went back to THPS 4 and thought it was hilarious that they don't push, once you hit the button they just go

Hahaha, oh right.... Freakin' duh.
I remember playing the games a little bit and enjoying the idea of them, but never got good enough to actually enjoy them fully.
The reason I love the TH franchise is because of the absolute absurdity of the games. They weren't meant to be taken seriously, and I think that's been lost in the quest for ultra-realistic gaming. That's not in response to anyone in particular, just a thought I've had. That's why I enjoy THPS1-THAW a lot more than I'd enjoy the Skate series.
THUG had too many flaws. I respect a lot of what they were trying to do in the game, but I think parts of it were rushed. I also think the game would have been better if it were on better performing hardware that could handle larger levels and more challenges. The game is really, really short if you break it down. It's great for what it is, but the potential is so much greater.
For example (IMO, and feel free to disagree), the driving aspect of the game was awesome in theory, but the levels were too small to make it meaningful and the mechanics were terrible. It didn't turn out well. Create-a-Trick is another one, although I don't think that was needed at all.

I want that Rat Rod one. I love Ed Roth-style art.
