Smallbox (normal size) gyromite

I was just wondering: back in the day you could get a CIB gyromite as part of the deluxe set, with all parts necessary to play the way it was intended (with R.O.B).

If you didn't have a deluxe set, you could buy a boxed R.O.B. and bigbox gyromite was required to have all necessary parts. So what's the point in selling normal sized gyro CIB's, if you could never play it the way it was meant??

  • My belief is it was never sold seperate. Never seen a legit shrink wrapped sealed smallbox. Only sticker sealed as came in the deluxe set pack ins.   Then big box, obviously, was sold seperately
  • I don't believe it was sold separately but I could be wrong because R.O.B. Is not required to play Gyromite.

You don't have to use R.O.B. to play, just two regular controllers. From a reference:

For Game A, use the first controller to move your character and grab/drop turnips, while using A and B on the second controller to raise/lower the gates.

For Game B (sleepwalking), you only need the second controlle
  • I think they did sell Gyromite separate because didn't they sell R.O.B separate too?

    Thats already been established.

There is a big box version with parts that were sold separate. Like already stated teh small regular sized box came in a deluxe set. The question was , was the small box sold separate. And that answer is no.
