Is the Limited Run Games bubble about to burst?
The past handful of releases have been taking longer than normal to sell out, and the stream of titles seem to be watered down with increasing numbers of mediocre or above average titles in the mix. Is the Limited Run Games bubble about to burst? Is there a Limited Run Games bubble? What is a bubble? How will it burst? Where are my pants? Are my missing keys in my pants? How did I lose my pants with my keys still in them? WHO ATE THE LAST TAQUITO

Please! One question at a time! You'll have all the answers in do time, but only after you've meditated for 30 days, and 30 nights. No food breaks!

LRG has always been full of mediocre and overpriced indie games. It's just that people are becoming less stupid and aren't going to jump on every release like it's a goldmine just because it's artificially rare and says LRG on the box.
Games collectors actually want like Night Trap and Wonder Boy will still sell out instantly.
Now they're pumping out every piece of crap they can get a license to (way more misses than hits these days). Did their last one even sell out yet?
Yes, no, maybe, don't know, taco.
I'm going with taco
I think right about when they became self-aware and decided to turn the golden goose into foie gras.

Yup. No more allure when they are releasing 1.99 steam games once a week.
Like others said, any shooter/ cult classic will still sellout but garbage like the swindle and whatever else will be passed up.
No bubble, because the early titles like breach and clear and saturday morning are still in high demand, with a finite amount.

Hah, I love this turn of phrase
I see no bubble. I think they have been doing a great job of providing physical copies. Sure, they've pissed off some collectors because "they're publishing too many games!" and along those lines "these games are crap!" -but first off, what constitutes crappy art or a crappy game is relative. I've passed up on a number of LRG because I have no interest in them, but they still sold out relatively quickly. So say what you want about said games, but LRG seems to know what they're doing. This is a business! They don't get money unless they publish games. For those that "have to have" all the games, well good luck to you! For the rest of us, there will always be some games here and there that are truly little gems! Even if it takes them a whole week to sell out of a game, so what? Frankly, I'm still more excited about what LRG publishes than the vast majority of so-called AAA titles by big studios. Looking forward to their upcoming release, which was originally a kickstarter success

Well said.
It'll pop when Alekx decides when it's gonna pop
Lock er up mods, question is answered.

Can't you tell the sarcasm Alex?? This is why mods patrol the site and most people don't. Also.. Make sure you don't EVER forget that they don't have to justfy anything they do. And if they do, consider yourself lucky.
I think LRG is having a similar situation that amiibo's had, i think LRG is going through a cool down point. I think what other's have said about quality title's will sell out fast but the other stuff will take longer is right.
