Never been much of a fan of that "Dying at the ripe age of giving birth to your 1st child", "Giving birth without anaesthetics" or "Birth control? What is birth control" thing from back then.

That wasn't always the case you know... And believe it or not, casual sex isn't the be all and end all of society...

Giving birth to 10+ children at one's marriage isn't much fun either.

Care homes didn't exist back then you know. The more kids you had, the more likely you were to be taken care of in your old age. The infant mortaility rate was pretty high back then, you had to account for that.

Therefore, things were absolutely not better 1500 to 2000 years ago! They were much, much worse, in fact.
You guys need to play Age of Empires / Rise of Rome Expansion, then you too can know the fun of Antiquity! Like getting killed with arrows and axes and getting converted by priests saying "wololo".

Are you sexually repressed, Guntz? You can tell me--I won't tell anyone.

..honestly I agree. There are better things... it's fun and all for awhile.
Better is a bit subjective, generally every generation has it better than the last so while modern life may be a drag it's better than it was back then. That said I'd be perfectly happy if the 40s-80s had never ended.

No, but I often wonder about the people who feel the need to constantly brag about their sexual depravity.
You took her post where 2/3 of it was about giving birth under dangerous circumstances and used it to throw shade at Bea. She didn't even mention casual sex, birth control isn't only used by people in flings. It's kinda weird that you ever steered the conversation in this direction.
What do you think Birth Control is for? It's not for building a family I can tell you that. I focused on that because it's a very odd thing to be thankful for in this day and age. You could just... You know... Not have sex. Crazy idea I know.

It is widely used to control menstrual cycles and keep menstrual pain in check, specially in case of severe endometriosis.
So bless the birth control for I can function during red days due to them.
It is also used for family planning. Something quite important in this day and age.
That's a sign of poor overall health, it's only going to get worse once you hit menopause.
I take it you haven't heard all the cases of regular birth control usage causing infertility problems later in life? Birth Control is technically a poison you know.
From other women who probably have it worse off than you? I usually take their word for it with women's health.
Well, you should talk to a doctor instead, because that is some serious bs.
I can't find any trustable source or article in respectable medical magazines that links birth control to infertility.
Of course, if they waited till past their middle 30s to conceive, fertility problems are expected. That is just how nature goes. BC has nothing to do with that.
Sexual depravity is a subjective term. It's usually dependent on how joyless and uptight a person is.
You don't think it's deprave to screw anything you can get your hands on? That's all I ever hear from today's sexual liberation.

Isn't it a bit obvious to say the doctor would of course shill birth control as being perfectly safe? We're told all sorts of medications and commercial chemicals are completely safe, despite repressed scientific studies saying otherwise.

Oh, of course not.
Mine was extremely clear about the increased risk of blood clots, the symptoms I should watch for and report back if any of them happened so we could try another type of pill that would work better and incour less risks for me.

From running from Shai-Hulud while it consumes my harvesters to nuking the Atreides. Fun times!

It depends on who you are and where you are.
For some in the wrong place and wrong time it would be hell.
Others might live as kings.
