Yep, I'm sorry for discussing and appreciating the GameCube rather than slobbering over a pic of 4 GameCubes.
We didn't beg him for more. Our bad.
Not only have I not been begging (though you can keep making things up if you'd like; won't make a difference), but it's already been established that no one's *actually* interested in seeing my collection and will continue to simply ignore me whether I post a teaser picture or a video showing the whole collection. Removing a picture and saying "I quit" doesn't mean I'm begging anyone, it just means I've gotten the message that no one's really interested (which is fine by me). But I guess getting the message and dropping this whole "showing the collection" conversation must be a crime. My bad.
You post things, and then throw a tantrum when you don't get the amount of validation you deem acceptable. It is pretty silly...
Think I have a handful of Cube games left to replace from my younger days (Prime and Prime 2, Wind Waker, Zelda CE, Twilight Princess, Sunshine, and every Resident Evil). Whenver I finally have some free time in my life I'm gonna finally beat Eternal Darkness too. For whatever reason I gave up on the final boss last time.
I'll have to get a pic up of my meager collection at some point. My cutoff for full sets is N64, because of space considerations, so I got rid of a lot of the lesser titles I had picked up recently
I wanted to see the collection but i did not want the baggage, so back on topic.
Since the gameboy player is the main draw for people, what is your favorite GBA to play on the system? Mine is Metroid zero mission and Metroid fusion.
I don't think having batteries inside something for 10 years is a great idea. Are you not scared of corrosion?
Haha good point. Maybe I should open it up. It still works though. I had to put tape on the back since the top part of the clip broke off so I guess the hassle of having to retape it is why I haven't opened it in so long. Yep hassle to retape, #firstworldprobs
Damn, it's a shame I didn't bring my GameCube stuff up here. I probably would have sold you the Prime games and the Resident Evils. Wasn't a huge fan of the RE games and I much prefer the motion controls of MPT.

Since you mentioned this, I actually think my Wavebird I left in the move was garbage because of battery corrosion. Definitely check your controller when you get the chance.

I actually really enjoy pokemon. Since i was a kid, i wanted a console version. So this was the closest i ever got The stadium/colloseum games don't count.
Metroid is also a solid pick. I am running GBI off of swiss, and omg do the games look amazing in forced 240p.

Are they sitting in a box at your mom's house or something?
They are somewhere. I used to switch up the layout of my room a lot so I have no idea where to even begin to tell someone to look for them. Plus my old room was converted and all kinds of stuff.
Edit: And from my wife talking to my mom she thinks all my SNES boxes got thrown out, too.

What's really silly is that some people (such as yourself) continue to have that conversation when I already said I was fine with people not being interested in seeing my stuff and that we might as well just drop it (or is dropping the conversation still a crime?).

Yeah, exact same thing that happened to me. Went away to college and I could no longer protect them. Then when I retrieved all my carts when I moved away, I noticed that my large collection of immaculate boxes (10/10 Conker for example) were all MIA
Luckily I had taken all my cased games, including my sealed Zelda CEs and a large number of high dollar items with me from the beginning
Sorry. Can't agree with you. GC has not aged well in my opinion.
Has not aged well? compared to what? the PS2 in that generation??? people are still buying that stuff up and the ports of titles on the PS2 were vastly inferior to say the PS2/PS1/N64 at the time. Like I mentioned above I always see loads more PS2/Xbox games laying around compared to GCN. Demand is there people are just not aware of it yet or are busy invested elsewhere.
2001-2007
Multiplatform General Rule= XBOX > GCN > PS2 (Since PS2 suffered in such departments as rendering Interlaced , Frame Rate drops, lack of Anti Aliasing & Longer Load Times)
(EXAMPLES: Soul Calibur 2, Resident Evil 4, Star Wars: Jango Fett, Shadow The Hedgehog, Viewtiful Joe, Killer 7,
Tales of Symphonia,Spiderman 2, Simpsons hit and Run jut to name a few.)
Not to Mention one of my favorite games of all time, and still the only "Official" Metal Gear Solid "Remake" (The Twin Snakes)that has still to this day never been ported to any other Platform Physical nor Digital!
Now tell me thatThe Gamecube Hasnt "Aged Well"?
This.
Love me some Twin Snakes.
Also, I thought the GC was more powerful than the XBOX as far as graphics power, no?
"Not even the Xbox had the bandwidth to do Wind Waker's streaming so in my book... Gamecube>Xbox>Playstation 2."
IMO the Resident Evil Remake on the Cube has the best graphics of any game in that generation of systems.

Thanks! I know man, insane to think how some belived that the Gamecube hasn't aged well. I don't know about the Xbox, The visuals from Dead or Alive 3 were insane for the time. But Gamecube definitely was much more impressive compared to the PS2 hardware. (Resident Evil 4 Debacle)
Since this topic was bumped, I guess I might as well show what I just bought/received:
Another M-rated game for this so-called "kiddie" console.
Funny becuase I recently purchased that game for the Cube too. One of my all time favorites. I remeber playing it a ton just to get the Silent Assassin ranking on the hot tub level. So much fun.
On a whim I just purchased Baten Kaitos Origins brand new for $40. I got super lucky on that, I think the guy that listed it had no idea of its worth and just wanted to get rid of it.
I recently picked up a lovely GC lot for $100. Purple Cube, controller, component cable, Paper Mario, Spyro, Pikmin, and Pikmin 2. It was actually a back-to-back pickup, along with some back issues of Nintendo Power.

Every once in a while I land a big one. I used to obsessively search for deals, but have backed off a bit. Here's another GameCube haul from last year. I think I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but didn't post photos:
I actually got a XenoGC modded Gamecube from a guy on Digitpress forum. It has a custom case that allows the use of Burned DVDs so I could download and try out the games before buying them, but the laser is very picky so some games will crash after a little bit of playing. Still it works well enough to demo the games and create a like/dislike list like I do for other systems that have roms. I leave my Game Boy Player hooked up to this Gamecube now so I could put my original one from high school back in its box. I use a burned boot disc to reduce wear on the original GBP disc since those are harder to find than the actual GBP without it. Mostly what I keep/play on Gamecube are the Nintendo character games and Sonic games as well as exclusives I've heard about. I also try to buy the Gamecube ports of games I really liked on PS2. It gives me more variety when re-playing. I have a lot of trying out and exploring to do before I go after anything I don't already have though. I do buy cartoon character based games when I see them at thrift stores though because I know my wife will like those no matter how good/bad the game actually is.
Oddly enough my Baten Kaitos find seems to have triggered another wave of GameCube collecting. Just got Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Party 5. I am replaying Eternal Darkness right now and forgot how good the game was. Really unique in the way of survival horror/adventure games. Whatever happened with that supposed sequel to that game?

Oh well, life happens
Zelda Twilight Princess,Zelda Wind Waker,Zelda Collectors Edition,Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes,Mario Kart Double Dash ,Resident Evil 4,Resident Evil Zero,Resident Evil Code Veronica X and 1080 Avalanche...thats it.I never bought any other games.
I still have these 4 posters:
While we're on the subject of Resident Evil games, I don't think the GC is really quite as "kiddie" as a lot of people thought:
That is just a small sample of the Teen and Adult games on the console.
So much violence. So much CUBE!
