I don't know if you guys are serious about the Monkees influencing the Beatles thing, but the Monkees formed in 1965 and released their first LP in 1966, while the Beatles had Rubber Soul out and Revolver on the way.
Not saying that the Beatles weren't inspired by the Monkees, but it was certainly the same for the Beatles influencing the Monkees. All those awesome 1960's bands were listening to each others and were inspired by each others. As stupid as it may sounds, the reason why the 1960's music was so good is because the 1960's music was so good, if you know what I mean.
Funny side note, i work in an assited living facility and we have entertainment for the old folks almost daily everytime one of them asks for requests i yell out Sing Let it BE.... and they never do

How many people knew Eric Clapton wrote "Layla" about George Harrisons wife
I did. I am a classic rock buff.
Bimmy-Man, Bimmy-Man, does whatever a Bimmy can.
Drinks a beer, writes a poem, players some vidya games in his home.
Look out!
Here comes Bimmy-Man.
Never sang Bimmy Lee but probably will now.....
This was my previous joke associated with that song
This is exactly what I was thinking. I still remember the exact time time and place I first saw this almost 25 years ago.
Never seen that before, but it was hilarious.
