Growing Medical Marijuana Journal

What is up NA,

Wasn't sure if this was okay to post or if people would be interested, but this is totally legal in my state and i figured why not? It turned out to be a really nice experience so far and wanted to share and see if anyone else grows? Was never a big smoker growing up, but after getting disabled with a bad nerve condition/injury it really helped me.

Started about 6 weeks ago, did research for a month before even starting. I will say reading is the most important thing you can do, there is so much to learn it can be overwhelming.

But even then, you need to get your hands dirty and just go for it because there are a lot of things that can only be learned with experience. And then everything starts making sense and comin together.

Here are some timeline pics of the last 6 weeks from seed to now. These are currently in "flower" and will start making colas (buds) over the next 7 weeks. Then harvest and curing. I should be able to pull 15 oz off these easily. I will be doing a grow journal so you guys can see the process, materials, etc......if interested of course.

  • Looking good dude!!
  • This is the most gangster thing ever posted on this forum
  • That is awesome man, when I lived with my buddy after high-school we had a couple going in his closet.

Was pretty awesome watching them grow.
  • Mmmmmmm... time ta go smoke
  • *sniff, sniff* it's, it's so beautiful...
  • I quit smoking a few years ago, but have always liked to grow all types of plants

What strain is this and did you root some cuttings for the next round?
  • Yeah I quit a while ago too. Still enjoy discussing it though. Nice plants
  • How crazy is our country where this is totally fine where he is, but in many states, mine included, possessing a few grams lands people in jail. Regardless of which side of the debate you are on, its legally the most major variance in the approach states take on any give issue. And I dont think that changes anytime in the near future. I hear people in MO where I live say they look forward to that here. I hate to break it to them, but Id be shocked if that happened here in my lifetime.
  • Lol i am glad some people appreciate them. Here are the strains.

    White Widow-Hyrbid

    Northern Lights-Indica

    Black Jack-Hybrid

    Aurora-Indica

I don't mess around with clones right now. I have plenty of seeds from amsterdam and i plan on growing new strains next round, so the clones would have nowhere to go.

Hopefully when they figure out the laws, i can start legally distributing it and maybe make some money off it. Although i am sure thousands of people have the same idea as me.
  • Some good looking plants. I wouldn't bother with distributing until you get more well versed in what you're doing, there is so much to learn, but it's definitely something to work towards. I'd love to grow a few plants myself, just don't have the space at the moment.

Well the laws won't be passed until late 2018 anyway, so that is 2 years to get well versed and work towards it. And by distribute i just mean locally for extra money, nothing crazy. It honestly really isn't that difficult with all the forums and FB groups these days. The internet is a wonderful thing, you can learn just about anything you want.

Mine is a 4 X 2 tent. Not massive but enough to take up some space. I grow at my dads in MA though and he has a mancave we grow in. So i am lucky.

My main goal, is to grow 100% organic eventually and cater to that market. Since not many 100% organic distributors exist right now.

Bat guano, earthworm castings, fishbone meal, and dolomite all composted nicely into a "super soil" is all the NPK you need to replace chemical nutes.
  • Looking good man. It's a super fun hobby. I miss having my grow setup. Used to have the spare bedroom loaded with plants.
  • Unfortunately, at the moment it's still illegal in most places or just down right impossible to get a pescription.

That's funny, it's ridiculously easy to get a prescription here. A lot of dispensaries have their own "doctor" that will get you signed up and ready to go same day.
  • I'm not sure what the deal is with the states. That's a ton of untapped money and a substance that doesn't kill people like cigarettes and booze.

Yeah it definitely sucks for those people in those states. Luckily i don't have that problem in MA lol

Hang tight, give it time. Many more states will be following suit soon.

I never thought it would be legalized recreationally anywhere in my lifetime, yet here I am, in Colorado smoking to my hearts content without a "prescription"!
  • Man I'm jelly!
  • Come to Boston, i'll give you guys all a bag when they are done

You should see the private smokers thread that was started about 6 years ago. Some good times in there.
  • What lights are you using?

I am using COB (chip on board) LED's. They are incredible but they costed a small fortune since i bought mine pre-built instead of DIY. Mine are running Bridgelux Vero 29's. Cree and Citizen are other popuar manufacturers of COB LED's too. Of course, you might know all of this already lol

What i love about the COBs are that you get the yield/quality of HPS pretty much, but with none of the cons like heat problems or high energy bills.

  • Oh how things have changed... plants are looking hearty and healthy. Nice selection of strains, too. Awesome stuff.
  • This is the greatest thread in all of NES history.

Thanks brother! Working on getting some new pics. Been another week and they have grown in inches (insert joke) and are finally starting to show their pistils and cola sites.
  • Hot damn where has this thread been all my life. Looking forward to the progress.

Can't wait until Ohio gets its shit together.
