  • Uh... homebrews don't count?
  • Yeah that's a homebrew there's a separate section for that here.
  • A little late for an April fools joke, ain't it?
  • What the hell is a Goonie?

It's a reproduction of the Famicom Goonies game. Someone put it on an NES board and made that custom label for it. (Think about it, why would Konami use a label style that was exclusive to early Nintendo-published games rather than their own silver label style? Not to mention Konami is nowhere to be seen on that label.)

We never got it on NES. We only got the sequel, Goonies II.

    Here's the Famicom cart.

Yeah! What gives?! Super Toilet Bros isn't on the list and Ichinisan made that 20 years ago!
  • It's interesting that a couple of different Goonies reproduction threads have been posted. Like someone ramped up production of them.

OMG, GOONIES SEQUEL IS ON ITS WAY!

    not homebrew, just bootleg.
  • I figured I may be wrong about Goonies. There was an inkling that it was released in Japan. Good ole Tulpa shutting me right the fuck up.

    Edit: Ha! And Lincoln.
  • To be fair, we did see it over here back in the day in arcade form. I think the Goonies cab is fairly hard to find.

I also find it weird that like a day after I bought my famicom cart, threads start popping up. Apparently I can control people's posting with my sheer will.

What game should I buy next and get everyone talking about it?
  • Make Atari skyrocket!
  • Tulpa, how about that elusive omg rare ntsc-us release holy diver that keeps littering my eBay searches... :::::joking:::::

Thank you for being one of the few non-dicks here and providing a informative response without expecting every other person to know every single detail about every game that ever existed.

To those other snarky responders, you guys should brush up on your communication skills. Its not cool to be a dick.
  • Maybe you should brush up on officially released Nintendo games and not call us stupid for not including bootlegs?
  • It's called jest, not snarky and being a dick! Dick!
  • I guess I'm the only one not from Kentucky.

Oh, dammit, now I have to explain it.

  • You're just from... ugh... California.
  • I really wouldn't take them too seriously. Most, if not all, i am pretty sure are just busting your chops in jest.

Out of curiosity, where did you get it?
  • NA is,turning into ng.com, so dont be surprised.
  • No need for the name calling, it was just some gentle ribbing. You gotta remember, the internet is like a giant pool full of hungry sharks just waiting for someone to chum the water with some misinformation just so they can tear it apart with proper facts.
  • Question has been answered; thanks for playing!
