POLL: Do you put syrup on eggs?
Okay, so it's not really a "great debate," but I put maple syrup on my (scrambled) eggs. It all started as a child, I tried keeping the two seperate but gave up, and decided I enjoyed the sweetness of the syrup. I also add a little salt and pepper.
Seems to cause a stir at the table...

Salt, pepper and maybe some shredded cheese once in a blue moon.
I will say though, I may try it.
BUT i think i am gonna from now on. I love it when i have pancakes, why not with just eggs??
Fuuuuuck no. What are you some kinda weirdo? Maple syrup only belongs on breakfast sausage.
Amen, well and pancakes.
Hell no, on eggs.
But even for pancakes, waffles, or French toast... if the stuff is made right, it just needs butter and maybe some fruit or jam.
I don't use syrup for anything, anymore.

Arch knows what's up. Syrup is too sweet and sugary for me now.
edit: and even when I did eat syrup, it was never put on eggs. wtf.
I also make lots of fried egg sandwiches.
Fuck no, I ain't no Canuck. Salt, pepper, sometimes ketchup, sometimes cheese. No syrup ya hur.
When the syrup and the cheese meet... It's like a party. mmmm...
That is a big ol nerp from me.

I was used to having cheese prepared with the eggs, and that tastes pretty good with a little ole' Canadian sauce on there. I typically use Minnesota cheese though, so that's probably why it tastes like heaven.
...no...? If I happen to get a plate that has both eggs of some sort and pancakes/waffles/typically-syrup-appropriate-foodstuffs, I'll do my best to keep them segregated from one another. Now, if I get some syrup on my eggs, I'll go ahead and eat them, but it's not something I look forward to, particularly enjoy or go out of my way to do. To each their own, though. My dad's family's (and my brother) all eat ketchup on their eggs (any/all eggs, no matter how they're prepared) and look at me like I'm an alien because I refuse. (shrug)
how dare you stick waffles and pancakes in the same category.

I've never been so insulted as a Canadian than the moment you insinuated that Canadians put syrup on eggs. You apologize this instant!
I don't put anything on eggs. Syrup on bacon is great though.

Man sometimes I will make hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, toast, fire some S&P on there and just fucking fire it all on a sandwich ketchup and all.
Just get it right in ya.

Yup, I do that. Just cook every possible breakfast item, DRILL er onto a plate, and ketchup everything.
