Fukushima...are you concerned?
Are you at all concerned about the Fukushima Radiation? I feel like this doesnt get talked about enough in the news or by anyone. If you don't know much about it then try and look into it for yourselves. Simple breakdown is, in the 2011 Japanese Tsunami event the Fukushima reactors were damaged and have been leaking radiation into the ocean since. I'm not an expert on the situation but it kinda freaks me out that it could pretty much destroy the pacific ocean eco system and that its probably already made landfall on the west coast tainting our water supplies. It falls as rain and gets into everything, Like milk an food supplies. Kinda makes me want to move but where do you even go or how do you counter act it? Feel like i need to start taking some iodine supplements or something, Maybe someone here with more knowledge can shine some light on the situation and better inform me and everyone else. adding poll for the f of it.

I would not buy an item shipping from the Fukushima area in Japan and I would not physically go there if I were vacationing in Japan. Supposedly the radioactive contamination only affects the near area and being elsewhere in Japan poses no health risk, but given how shaky the reputation of nuclear power is these days, I wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese government downplayed the true degree of contamination released during the accident.
As for the ocean environment around Japan, yes it's never going to be the same. The ocean is a massive place though, it would probably take a Chernobyl-level accident to affect a large portion of the Pacific ocean.

I've heard this is nearly as bad as chernobyl was and if another big earthquake hits it would set off reactor 2 since its sorta being held together by bandaids at this point and would make the situation far worse than chernobyl. Then again most of my info came from doomsday youtube videos about it so i dunno how accurate it is.
