  • R.I.P.
  • He just died? Damn. I love the 66 Batman.
  • Heard the news today. Sucks to hear.
  • He lived a good, long life. RIP
  • There was also this camp gem:

  • My grandfathers roommate

Let's watch Zombie Nightmare in tribute
  • RIP We got to see him with Burt Ward one last time at least.
  • Pure. West.

  • He was one of my heroes.

He has left us... inconspicuously... out the window.

    Rest in peace, good sir.

Your Batman was the best of all.
  • Greatest Batman ever. Thank you for everything. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  • Damn that really sucks! RIP Bat-Guy!
  • 88 is a damn good run, at least. And he passed away in peace, surrounded by family.

He surely was the suavest man of his time. I just wish I got to meet him to tell him how much his Batman meant to me during my childhood.
  • What a loss. He was definitely something special. The male version of betty white for me. Never being left behind always adapting and evolving with the times.
  • Holy heartbreak, Batman. I will don my original avatar in tribute. I'm with you, Bea. He had a great run and a huge impact on me as a kid. RIP Mr. West.
  • Isn't Adam west the mayor voice actor on family guy? Today is a sad day
  • So long Batman...thanks for all the memories.
  • Holy shit that came out of no where.

Well, I'm getting drunk and have a '66 Batman marathon this evening.
  • I need to get the show on dvd. I have the movie and the animated movie he and burt did. I want to see what Family guy will do to address this. When phyliss diller died they killed off peter's mom instead of replacing her.
  • Damn that sucks, I met him at fan Expo in Vancouver a few years back, he was a funny guy

Same, save for the booze. Can't drink to his honour, at least not yet.

But here's for a good man, one that made our childhood better.

  • He definitely was the Batman from my childhood.

Beat me to it. Rest in peace Mr. West.

  • The Zodiac Crimes trilogy of episodes from season 2 is pretty damn fantastic with a Joker and Penguin crossover.  Watched that tonight along with the Return of the Caped Crusaders animated feature which is great in its own way.  G'night, Adam West, my bottle is empty.
  • I met just a few months ago at a comic book convention, and he was very affable and was much more polite than everyone else there. Amazing he flew out from the West Coast considering he had leukemia. Even though it was less than five minutes of meeting, I feel like I've lost someone I knew.

I, uh, was debating whether or not to say this, but my Dad insisted I pass him a note which read, "What does Julie Newmar look like naked?", and Mr. West had a great laugh!

I... eh... well... meant to ask him the same thing, if I managed to meet him. For science, yes.

Sadly, it was not meant to be.

Bert killed Batman? That son of a bitch.
  • The outpouring of tributes to him from celebrities shows just the person he was. Kevin Conroy has worked with him a lot on the animated series and at conventions even posted a photo of them together at an airport having fun. I'm not a huge Seth McFarlane fan but he knew Adam for 20 years it turns out since an episode of Johnny Bravo he wrote staring Adam. Family Guy won't be the same without him.
