Anyone mention micro machines yet? I don't know how much of a "craze" they were but there were definitely a group of kids really into them in my classes that I remember.
those all seemed like short lived crazes considering the shit I see everyday nowadays!
Couldn't think of a more-passive aggressive generalization if I wanted to. There are always those who don't follow these things. You just notice it more once you become a grumpy old man.
Yo-Yo craze of 1998...I was very caught up like every other boy I knew...amazing how something decades old became a huge craze again
There was another one in the mid-80s. I remember Duncan Yo-yos were pretty heavily advertised and more than a few kids picked them up, myself included. I think I had about a dozen at one time.
I wonder if I can still walk the dog.
Yep I'm not old enough to have lived through that one but I definitely have a VHS that covers tips and tricks on NES games and one of the trailers at the start is for a Tommy Smothers VHS for Yo-Yos from the late 80s craze, the footage was absurd

I just miss those commercials haha
I remember the guy that rambled on like 90mph when he talked on those commercials lol!
Going back to middle school era, we would all have Five Star binders and use White-Out pens to decorate. Also loved Yikes pencils.
I used to love Yikes pencils. Anyone remember Trapper keepers? They got banned at my school because they didn't fit in the lockers and had too many "secret" compartments for hiding girly mags and other contraband.
dial-up internet (boob pics would take a long time to load ),
LOL. I had this as my ringtone for a while until every time my phone went off, people started looking around wondering who still used dialup in 2010s...
I personally recorded it from our old dial up service.

I remember when digivices were big. When I was in the fifth grade, I had Daisuke's D-3 and used to wear it on my belt whenever we had to walk outside for P.E., which proved a mistake, since all the extra steps would cause my Digimon to engage in battle with wild Digimon—which they would lose to.

In all seriousness, every generation revolts from their parents a bit. I don't think respect is down the crapper... yet. But those who instill positive values in their kids will (hopefully) pass it down to their grandkids. Then again, the world gets more effed up every generation. Positive change and yet we have a one step forward, two steps back system.
Pop Vinyl minifigs. Someday I'll walk into a Gamestop and they'll be no more...
These ones are gonna be a big one for this later. There are people right now looking at garages full of these things. I wonder if a "Stadium Events of Funko Pops" will emerge. If and when it does, I'll bet it's like Animal from the Muppets or something. Less then 10 known to make it to market in the gift shop at Universal Studios and never made it anywhere else due to being pulled over a manufacturing defect. 20 grand a "pop".

Sticky hands - they were a quarter in the machines after the checkout - so fun
Those things were awesome, you'd fire a quarter or something in there and you get a friggen card.

I'd venture to guess that those were nonexistent in the first place.
Mad balls, Battle Beasts, M.U.S.C.L.E. and green slime.
Beat me to it.
Trapper Keepers.
