Color a dinosaur question
First to be clear I'm not looking for offers but would appreciate some advice. I recently acquired a copy of color a dinosaur that apears different from the original (I'm basing this on a rom through openemu)
the cartridge does not have a label
there is only music during the title screen
from what I can tell everything else is the exact same except one of the dinosaurs has a backwards cap.
so I either have an early build that's on a standard cart for some reason or it's a different revision. Obviously there's not a ton of info about this game out there. Any ideas would be appreciated

I implore everyone, because its still baffling to me, to buy a bit driver BEFORE YOU START BUYING EXPENSIVE GAMES. Theres a chance its a prototype and not a repro, because as far as I know, theres no dump of Color a Dinosaur.

Yeah, this left me scratching my head as well. A quick Google search shows ROMs of Color A Dinosaur existing all over, so I'm not sure what was meant by "no dump" being available...?
We got the cart open and it's a repro, no biggie there as it was only 100 dollars, but my friend believes it was a rom hack called "color the colored" by some guy named Portnoyd. Seems like he was trying to expose his alt right views via nes but gave up and just added the backward cap. I just contacted the seller so at least he knows what he's peddling.

I should have clarified, it was for a bundle with Sweet Home. Is this Portnoyd cat a trouble maker? Not pleased with news of his racist rom hacks

I looked up Color a Dinosaur on eBay and they were all asking $120 and up. Blah.
Gvn had it at 100$ loose, which is far more than the last time I checked.

I know its never discussed around here, but some of these games are really going up in price. I wonder if there is a theoretical "point" where the value will stop going up, and crash very quickly to a low point?
Yeah I think I got a good deal plus it's some kind of rom hack which makes it even more valuable. Sweet Home may have some differences too but I'm not familiar enough with the game and find it difficult to get into so far.
Not sure if you are joking or not, but the fact that its a repro makes it only worth about 20$ So assuming your sweet home is only worth 25$ or so, you got taken
yes a regular repro is worth that much but not a unique rom hack burned onto a cart. From what I can tell this sort of repro is only going to be more popular now that Trump is in charge.
