I agree with the sentiment of seeing stuff in smaller venues. I hate big shows. All of my best concert experiences are at bars and small clubs. Hanging out with the bands, helping them with their equipment, being on the same level with them (as in no stage). Pretty much any time I've gone to bigger places I almost feel like I've wasted my time and money. I hate the crowds too, so there is that.
I Paid $8 to go see Finger Eleven once. Not really a concert guy, but I came close to buying a Rammstein ticket when they were here a few years ago. I like tangible goods like zfleming54 so spending money like that is a waste to me.
