Help Compile This List- Non-NES Items Worth $$

I go to a lot of yard sales and flea markets.  I know what NES stuff to look for.  But, I have no idea when it comes to other systems, what stuff is worth anything.  I probably pass $150.00 games for $5.00 every time I go, for all I know!
I want to compile a list of games worth over, say, $30.00 or more for the following systems.  Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

-SNES
-Genesis
-N64
-Atari (the first one, I think 2600?)
-Sega CD
-Playstation One

And anything else you can think of that's worth some $$!  Thanks.

  • For SNES look for the rpg's like the Final Fantasies, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Mario RPG and the like. For Saturn watch for Panzer Dragoon Saga (if you find one i'd like to buy it image and Shining Force III. Playstation i'm not too familular with, same with Sega CD.
  • PS1 some non-rpg expensive oddities include Intelligent Qube, Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Islands, Bust-a-Groove games, DDR Disney (not the plugin standalone pad), Herc's Adventure (predates the disney movie), and X-Com.

Most famous chase games for PS1 are Suikoden II and Valkyrie Profile.

Atari - look for funny-shaped cartridges image It's a good rule of thumb. I think there's only one Atari-licensed game that is "rare"... the fabled BMX Airmaster.

Wasn't there an expensive Spider-Man game for sega-CD? Web of fire or something?

N64: Mario _____ (fill in the blank hehe)
  • Don't forget Final Fantasy 7, any version for the PS1.

Also, International Soccer something 2000 for Nintendo 64.

Chavez 2 for SNES is pretty rare, sells for $20 or so..

Aerobiz Supersonic for SNES is worth $20 or so also.

I do pretty good buying Super Mario World 2 : Yoshi's Island for cheap and selling for $15 or so on Ebay.

I am sure I will think of some more later...

Maybe we should all list the more expensive games, make a spreadsheet of them, small enough to be a page or two, so we could carry it around to flea markets and thrift stores to aid in our collecting..  Good way to make money..
There was something like this similiar for the NES when I started collecting that I got some NESfiles.com, it was called the NES Quick Reference Guide and it listed all the games that were R5 or higher or worth $5 or more..

  • That's what I plan on doing, PSerge, I'm gonna make a quick reference sheet I can take to the flea markets.
  • I actually typed up a barebones SNES price guide some time ago at Trade Games Now... Check this link for details:

    Link here.

As for Genesis, look for these (values in parentheses):

BMX Airmaster (by Atari; red label) ($400 loose/$800 complete)

    Cubicolor ($1750 loose/$3000 complete)

    Snatcher ($80 complete)

    Vay ($25 complete)

    PS1:

-As a general rule, most of the RPGs are worth $15+. Team Buddies ($30-$40 complete)

    X-Com: UFO Defense ($60 complete)

-and a few others not coming to mind immediately...
  • I just sold an international superstar soccer 2000 N64 cart only for $80 on ebay a few months back.
  • Thanks Matt, that is exactly the info I'm looking for.
  • mb7241, the dude that pulled a Video Life cart at CGE from the mystery box was offered substantially more than your values...I believe one offer was for $2500 and another was for $2800, although I could be mistaken. Loose cart.
  • That Spider-Man Web of Fire is rare, about 60-75 bucks, but its a 32X title.
  • worms armaggedon for n64 sells for close to 40.00 or more loose. atari games you might go to AA and look thru some posts. there are some real expensive 2600 games but there are a lot of carts that are worth pennies. I think for the other systems the song remains the same boxed stuff sells for more. power lords for the odessey 2 boxed sells for 400.00 plus.

Holy crap ARE YOU SERIOUS? Damn, that's got to be a record for it. This game is really starting to rise in value. I found a nice lot a while back with a CIB n64 and 10 CIB games (ISS 2000 included) and I paid only $100 for it.

Well the Video Life in the mystery box was cart and manual, and the amounts he was offered fall right inbetween mb7241's two prices, so I don't think his numbers are that far off.

ya, I knew it was kind of hard to come by but really didn't know the value so I stuck it in my ebay store for $79.95 and it sold in about a week.
  • Man I wish this thread existed awhile back... I swear I've passed up some of this stuff before not even knowing better. I demand more of this thread! =)

Didn't know the manual was in there. Thought it was cart only. My bad.
  • I thought ISS2000 was for SNES?  I guess I was wrong, it's for the N64?

yep and its already a very hard title to find complete for a n64 game
  • I remember finding an ISS 2000 complete one day for $3 at a video store that was clearing all their junk. I think I still have the pics I took of it. The box was slightly bent, but on the whole, it was in pretty darn good shape. I figured I'd get all of $30 or so out of it when I sold it, and as it turns out, I ended up with $60+. This was, mm, about a year ago or so.
  • The list is done.  If any one wants me to e-mail it to them, send me a PM.
  • I'm working on adding some more games to the list jaredkk sent me..

Does anyone have anything they think that needs to be added to the list?

    Thanks...
