    purdy.

    Price isn't awful either
  • I messaged a guy about the Pandora's box he is selling. I think for the price I may go that route. It has 95% of the neo library plus a bunch of old arcade classics. Normally I'd want original hardware, but for Neo Geo prices I can buy a hell of a lot of Nintendo stuff!

I've owned about 4 different CMVS systems during my collecting, and the Omega is definitely my favorite of the bunch. Well worth the price and service from Quan.

Are these Pandora's Box options relatively plug and play? The ones I've seen before were mostly CPS/II emulation and required a machine wired for Jamma.

It's this one. I've talked him down a little on it.
  • I've also looked into the Raspberry Pi for Neo/Mame and I'm not sure if I would like that or not. I know people that have it and love it, but others that say it was a waste of money.

Ok so its basically a supergun.

Just make sure you're going to be happy with emulation , because I never was
  • It's all emulation. Just do a raspberry pi and save some dough.
  • I had a Neo Geo X and it was trash IMO. Stick with PSP emulation. Much better.
  • I actually pre-ordered it (only one at my local store) and I traded it months later. It was pretty shitty. Playing on a TV would make you vomit from the lack of quality and I recall having to mail in my mega pack expansion because the cable that was included wouldn't update my system.

They included a cable to update the firmware but you had to pay like $80 to get it (granted additional games were included as well)
  • To puppy waffles to be honest just get the anthologies series on PS2, PSP and the Wii. I know they are not perfect arcade ports but at least you it's a small portion of getting the real thing.

This is coming from a guy that has the neo Geo Cd (which doesn't have any cop pee protection, hint hint nudge nudge), I often go back to the complications as they are easier to just pop in the system of choice.
  • Nothing beats a candy cab. Matt and I are on like our 15th candy, just sold an Egret 29 project (third one) and got a Neo MVS U4.

We had a ton of top MVS stuff over the years, NOS full kits and a bunch of he rarer stuff, but just pulled the trigger on a NEOsd from Stoneage gamer.

Nothing beats playing Neo on a cab, and I love the idea of perfect emulation on a flash cart.

The pandora boxes are trash. I have one of the "better" ones and you get what you pay for. Shitty emulation.
